For the last 20 years the whole land has been going on about foreign owners, managers and players having ruined the English football team - obviously that's ok if your team is winning

 

Or you don't give a **** about the national football team.

 

Ha ha...there could not have been a worse day for the swear filter to give up!

 

And it's good for morale to have a core of Spanish players who can't speak a word of English?

 

Saints or the national football side....that's a toughie.

 

I'm sure they never hear naughty language at school.

 

Another Michu type signing anyone? I would love to see a player like Iago Aspas come in. Highly regarded in spain and i think would fit nicely into the team as he would add another option.

 

Yes Fran I agree - but wouldn't you rather watch an England team with 4 Saints playing than fall asleep waiting for Wayne Rooney to fall over?

 

Not for me, I couldn't care less about the England team except for World Cup time. Euros, friendlies and qualifiers I couldn't care less. Not even an apathetic shrug.

 

I'd really like to see an England team that I could care about, but I can't stand half the players in the current squad. The main problem is not the influx of foreign players, it's the fact that most English players produced by English clubs seem to be twats.

 

I overslept today as we got the day off work, then I've been shoveling snow so I'm a little behind on the news.

Not necessarily. Adkins didn't exactly come in with a wealth of top class contacts and even then we got Sharp and Forte and were constantly linked with Hooper. I think the new manager will have plenty of say in transfers but, ultimately, that NC is in charge of negotiations etc.

 

On the "foreigners ruining England fotball side", I think you'll find that Saturday and Sunday morning kids football with parents and coaches screaming for Johnny to "whack it", has more to do with that.
