The word in Rotherham is that Nicky Law is coming to us, he's out of contract and there's just a compensation package to be sorted as he's under 24.

He's a 23 year old midfielder, but I know little else about him, Blackpool tried to sign him last season, but had a £150k bid rejected, anyone else heard us linked with him?

Anyone know where he is in midfield? IMO we have two good right wingers but very few options in the middle or left.

He plays central midfield and here's a few more bits of info about the season just finished:

He made 48 appearances, 47 of them were starts and he was subbed 7 times.

He scored 4 goals and was credited with 13 assists.

He made the PFA League Two team of the season(I was surprised to see he was the only Rotherham player, Adam Le Fondre didn't make the team).

Think he is right midfield I think, plus he is the son of the aforementioned nicky law. Just been offered a new deal at Rotherham but I'm sure he would turn them sown if a club of our stature were to come in

I had him as right winger on Football Manager, being that it is the best way of scouting players these days, I can confirm that he'd be a good signing and one I'd be genuinely excited about. Though he needs a manager such as myself to fulfil his potential. Transfer value from £150k to £1.3m in a season? That's what I'm talking about.

Where did you get this from olm? Been on Rotherham board and some of them reckon he's Chesterfield bound. Don't know a great deal about him myself

Someone on 606 said it was being discussed in Rotherham and did we know anything about it.

I felt the need to respond, as his was about the only article posted on our board in the past month.

Yeah so I see, wonder if there is any truth in it then. Noticed on 606 in response a derby fan asking about us going in for Jamie ward, I'd seen that story on twitter actually

Fictional games attract losers like you!!!

to be fair FM and CM before it do tend to pick up on young talented players that will be big in years to come before theyve even started attracting publicity. not sure how they do it.

I play FM and play FML too (well, for another week or so)

Played FM since CM2 in the days of the amiga - bought about 4-5 pc's / laptops over time to cope with the needs of the game

I thought I was on to something for a minute. I saw a typical footballers car (customised black range rover) with a private reg that I thought would fit here on the M18 heading north past Doncaster. It was LN1 though not NL1 and I don't suppose Nicky Law is rich enough yet to own that car and plate. Oh well. True story, just not a very interesting one! :emoticon-0100-smile

Any ideas who might own the plate LN1 then? Most likely not a footballer I guess!
