STEVENAGE!!! Bloody hell, I think he must of watched Iwelumo in training and thought to himself " this is how I need to play " Cant the club just cut his loan short and send him back if he's not good enough?? No point in having a player who's not going to play.
i think sending him out on loan means we intend to keep him..that's my reading of it..coz if he wasn't good enough, he'd have gone, i suspect...
Has he scored any for Stevenage?? (sorry for being lazy here). It could be the case that he's so bad Udinese wont let us cut the loan deal short as they dont want him back.
i don't think so, he only went a week or so ago... (lol no worries for being lazy, i'd be the same ) I think if that were the case, they wouldn't have sent him on loan to Stevenage, but would have got rid...
Hang about (cogs in my brain are starting to turn LOL) We have him on loan from Udinese, yet he's currently on loan at Steveange??? How can that be?? He cant be on loan at 2 different clubs simultaneously can he???
apparently he can. Because he's loaned to us by an overseas club, as long as they approve it, we can loan him to another club...seems strange, but that's way it seems to be! lol
Just when I thought I had finally got a good understanding of who we have from which club, who we have out on loan I find out we have a loanee, who is on loan at another club??? So hard to keep up with all the goings on this season. Oh and apparently we might be getting docked points coz of Bassini?? Plus we are signing some more if our loanee's but not all of them?? Yeah I give up lol.
i agree, you have to keep up every day, or it's easy to lose track! But yep, you've about summed it up! We're also rumoured to be getting another few in...and getting rid of a few, so watch this space! lol
Latest one; "16 Jan 2013 11:28:16 Watford will not be signing Matej Vydra on a permanent contract this January as Udinese may want to take him back at the end of the season due to his fantastic form. It all depends on whether gain promotion or not, if Watford are promoted they will sign him if not he will return to Udinese. Joel Ekstrand also won't commit to the club just yet due to similar reasons. Perea will be coming in on loan as well as another couple of players who will be bought by Udinese and then immediately loaned to Watford." This is the one that worries me - that they will want him at Udinese. I'm not too worried about him going anywhere outside of the 'family', but that they'd rather him playing top-flight football at Udinese or Granada if we don't go up! I would prefer them to let him stay at us for at least one more season if we don't go up this season, as would suggest a couple of succesful years in the Prem would make him more valuable than a couple of good years in Serie A!
Vydra and Ekstrand's contracts are different - both are 12 month loans expiring on 30/6/13, at which point Vydra goes back to Udinese but we then have the option of signing Ekstrand on a permanent basis. Other than a few mentions that Vydra may be signing permanently this month, there has been no word of any changes to the original deal - so I'd be putting this in the 'mere rumour' category, and take it with a pinch of salt.
Watford have received a very good offer from Ipswich for Jonathan Hogg. Rumour could be wrong and GFZ would be unhappy to lose him I think.
Any word on the match tomorrow? Looking out of a window two or three miles from the ground I can take an educated guess, but you just never know with these things. A couple of years ago the pitch was fine but the match was cancelled anyway, and then there was the time that we were one of the weekend's only postponements, after the undersoil heating froze.
Decision being made at 9am tomorrow morning according to the official twitter. In other news, VERY speculative rumours on twitter suggesting a 2.2m bid for Vydra from West Ham. Probably BS.
A bid wouldn't surprise me. But his value is only going one way in the next year or so though, so I'd be surprised if Udinese said yes. Definite call at 9am: not ideal, but a good compromise, especially for Huddersfield fans.
I'd rather go back to udinese next year than to play in the Champ again (if we don't get promoted) - If I were Vydra, that is.
I sold Vydra for £9m to Real Madrid mid-way through my debut Premier League season on FIFA. Just a little "heads up" for the Pozzo family when they come and check this forum when making their decisions.
really concerned at this contract thing dragging out, nothing would make me happier than waking up tomorrow and vydra abdi + ekstrand have signed contracts
