Wondered when you were going to get stuck into our 6 fingered friends!

I really hope Bullard ends up somewhere other than Portman Road now. Their "Hero-Worship" of him despite us funding him, is positively sickening!!

He's the best player in the league. The treatment Bullard gets from Ipswich fans is exactly what he should be getting from us. Instead, many fans have took the small club mentality of our esteemed Director of Football Operations, and shot this club and city in the foot. Again.

This is a good point until you bring AP into it (that's what I feel about many of your posts incidently), everyone's gonna shoot you down as usual. You should really accept defeat on the AP front just to save some credibility for other issues.

I chose not to comment on his post, but, I will now.

The Ipswich fans are doing exactly what our fans did when JRB first came and played for us, but after his second knee injury, and his "perceived" lack of willing to play for us after them, a chunk of the fans changed their view on him, and, IMO, after his shinnanigans to do with the failed Celtic loan, and his behaviour towards the club that hold his playing papers, the sooner he leaves the better.
Shame, he could have been something great, instead he is a joke, at City!

They chose to turn on him because they were told to by a man who is seemingly insistent on undoing all the hard work he did the first time he was here. JB was never gonna have a chance in hell once AP came back.

That's weird, I have checked my E-Mail records for the last 2 years and I can't find the one from " a man" telling me to turn on JRB. My "turning" on JRB started when he failed to "turn" on his ability to play for us on the pitch! But, I would be grateful if you could post the message that this "man" sent out to all and sundry, so as I could read the wording of it!

    Thanks in advance,

Agreed, it was Jimmy's actions that turned fans against him. I was disappointed with his attitude at the end of our premier league season and last summer. If i was employed by a company in financial turmoil, i would for the sake of the company and my long term employment take a pay cut. If you won't take a pay cut from £45k a week, which even with a degree is money i probably won't earn in a year, then you're gonna come across as a greedy ****** and not win many fans. Even with 20k a week he still wouldn't be on a bad salary. Players such as Kilbane were willing to take a pay cut, so i see no reason why a gentleman's agreement couldn't have been made for Bullard to get a reduction in wages. Pearson is no fool and would know that Bullard would have had the potential to be an influential figure this season, but if his hearts not in it and his attitude is questionable then you are wasting a squad place by starting the bloke. The entire thing has been a disaster, it's best for everyone that this is resolved over the summer. And TWF if Bullard is the best player in the league, then shouldn't he be in the Championship team of the season? (not sure if it's been chosen yet or not)

Since he hasn't played for Leeds or QPR, no one will really give a **** about him outside of Hull or Ipswich. You can pretty much guarantee it will be mostly players from these two sides plus a few Norwich boys that make the side.

I will say it again I am with TWF on this.

He is the best player in this league and you cant bash anyone for not taking a pay cut any of us would have jumped at the chance. With a little bit better treatment and yes discipline on his side he could of been a fantastic player for us. Fact of the matter is he doesn’t want to be here but will continue draining the club dry as he knows he will get loaned out as he wants and still remain on 45k as the Allams will want to half his wage if they can, its win win for jimmy.

None of the players were forced to take a pay cut!!!
They were asked to defer some of their wages for a period of time. At least one player, renegotiated his contract on a lower salary, but for an additional year, Mr.J.R.Bullard chose not to do either, which was his right. One player chose to cancel his contract with the club completely, with no payment of the remainder of his wages.

Right fair play to them but no one can shout and ball at him for doing this!! He was in his right as you said! Im sure many on here wouldnt take a cut either. (if they werent playing for the team they supported). He is well within his right. Fair play to him.

This is getting rather boring now, Jimmy's off, whatever went before is history, we just need to extract ourselves from the whole sorry mess as painlessly as possible.

Actually I take a middle line on this. I think Jimmy could be (and was) a great player at this level. I think he could still do a great job for Hull City. I don't blame him for sticking to his contract - I would in his position. I do however think that if 10% of the stories about his off field antics are true then he is a ****er of the first order. As a highly paid professional for this club he should have been doing his damn best to earn his money by getting back on the field, not ****ing about of it. I put a 100% effort in at work, always have, no matter who was paying me. When I've had a better offer I've stuck to my contract terms even after accepting it. Secondly as a man, who ever he plays for, he should be grateful for his gifts and should respect and cherish them. His shelf life as a pro footballer ends in mid 30s so he should be looking after his body to eke out the years left, not acting like a bitch on heat.

Now I don't know if any of the rumours were true, but if any one on here has real personal experience of them, then lets hear it. Good or Bad. I say if the good is over 50% we should respect him, if the bad are over 50% he should have the word ****ER tattoo'd on his forehead and be sent to Ipswich where the crowd are used to players giving them the finger (or 6).

Agreed - a tosser get rid. I'm sure Sir Adam feels the same. £45k a week in the NPC FFS.

Doubt the likes of Ipswich will pay anywhere near 50% of this figure.

If he's (a) that good and (b) that fit, then the likes of DQPR will come in for him. Likelihood they will want him on loan. I rest my case.

Ipswich can have him for no fee, we will pay £25k of his salary for the next 2 years.

    Ipswich give us Connor Wikham.

    Ball's in Ipswich's court!!

Actually the rest of the squad could. I know if my work place was told they had to cut the wage bill by 20%, and all but one of the staff agreed to drop to 4 days a week to try to save the business and jobs, the one person who'd insisted on keeping their full wage wouldn't be at all popular for their selfish behaviour, especially if they were earning almost twice as much as anybody else was and all that was being asked for was a deferral rather than a cut.
