I am known to some of my friends as a bit of a football whore. I will go anywhere if I'm available to watch anyone, as long as Saints aren't playing at home. Living in Northampton makes that quite easy. My last foray was to watch Crewe v Swindon. One mate is a Swindon fan and the other a Crewe fan. I watch Cobblers occassionally as a sort of punishment too!

With my job I travel to Europe and will often look to see if there is a game locally and try and get a ticket. I was in Amsterdam for the Ajax v Real Madrid game, but couldn't get a ticket for love nor money, unfortunately.

I also do a City break every two or three years with my wife, my mate and his wife. We tie it in with a match and leave the girls in a bar while we go to a game.

    You played for Portsmouth!!!! Clearly!

Oh dear. Epic fail. Though I must say, anyone who beats their wife is scum and doesn't deserve to have a partner. Chivalry is dead, and chavy yobs and violent thugs are dancing on it's grave.

Monaco Davis Cup team-mates Benjamin Balleret and Guillaume Couillard have gone into the record books after playing out a 70-point tie-break at an ITF third-tier event in Florida.

Balleret won the match 7-6 (36/34), 6-1. Bloody hell!

Oh dear, another shooting at a school in the US. Fortunately there was only 1 casualty. One pupil was shot and is in a critical condition in hospital. The gunman was talked down by a teacher, if it wasn't for him it could have been a repeat of the tragedy in Connecticut.

Good lord, there is a man on a Dublin Radio phone-in who is on a bridge and is threatening to jump and commit suicide.

It's still being aired, how terrible. The production team don't want to cut the line off.

Only in Dublin...surely there are broadcasting regulations against that. There haven't been any "live" suicides on TV or Radio in decades. The only ones I know off are some talk show host in Canada or something, and also Budd Dwyer in America.

Although coming to think of it, there was that police chase last year that was being aired live where the suspect was stood in the middle of a field and he shot himself before the broadcaster could cut the pictures off, even with a 5 second tape delay they have in America.

I'm listening to the station now, I think it must have ended because they're now talking about girls dressing more and more inappropriately.

They cut their online broadcasting after a while, but it was there for some considerable time.

Clearly the broadcasting regulations in the Republic are different to ours. The host just called a caller a gobshite, and has said the topic of discussion is literally "are 15 year old girls becoming sluts?".
