I think unconditional makes some fair points. Mel you say you wouldn't have come up even if it was Man U, but you know that we would had a full house for a Man U Arsenal, Man City.

I had to sit the row in front of my usual seat as I got them late. All around me were people who were not regulars, after that display it will be hard to get them back. Maybe the club need to offer the players a Win bonus for the Cup as under Pearson Barmby and now Bruce its been ****e.

The two Orient fans sat in mine and the lads seats, said to me, it's hard to believe you're on the verge of the premiership!!

Orient did well to be fair. Even the second string should have been able to beat them.

If they see Faye, Hobbs, Chester, Elmo, Brady, Evans, Quinn, Meyley, Koren and Aluko play they'd know why we're on the verge of the Premier League :)

To be honest I will struggle to get to the match next week. It's not the money, it's the time it takes. So there is no way that I can afford the time but I will have to work longer each day to get the time. Money does not come into it for me. It's hard for exhiles to make every game. So my seat could be empty. But even if it is that does not mean that I am any less a fan than someone I know who has only been to the KC twice. He is just as much a Hull City fan as anyone who has been going to every home and away for years. There is no measurement of being a true fan.
Unconscious Tiger proves it himself, if he was such a big fan but couldn't afford to watch the games in the PL, why didn't he join posters on here who went to the reserve games?

I could afford games in the Permier League. I coulnd't afford a pass. But the I could'nt get a ticket to see even 1 game throughout the entire season.

I didn't say I was more of a fan than anyone else, that is where you're wrong.

If you read what I wrote properly.

The point I was making is that I have been there through thick and thin. Once the Permier League supporters return I won't get a look in.

Are you a Premier League supporter? Do you only go to games when Hull City are in the Premier League? If the answer is no, then this post is not aimed at you.

Now do you understand? I'm not going to attempt to explain it any further.

the replay at Orient won't hurt our promotion chances as SB will make a couple of changes PLUS a bollocking. I can't imagine many City fans going down Clapton on a tuesday night though

Many City fans do not turn up to cup games as we always tend to struggle. Ever since i have been watching City we have been shocking in the cup. Fans do not want to turn up to see us turned over and embarrassed by low league sides which was nearly the case yesterday. The players did not look interested at times, yes it was a weakend side but it still should of seen us through to the next round. It was the usual city cup performance which loyal fans have seen so many times! I get my tickets on Cup Direct and i don't want to be part of that next season as we just never turn up for these games... and i attend all home games and the majority of away games, premiership or not. I feel without turning up to Cup games i should still be classed as a 'Loyal Fan'.

Sounds like you're the sort of person my post was aimed at.

You don't want to come for a cup game simply because we always lose in the cup?

That just isn't loyal at all.

I aren't interested in classification of every fan and splitting people into true fans and part-timers, but that post basically says you normally come, but if you expect we'll lose you won't come.

If the club are not going to take cup games seriously, then why should the fans?

It was effectively a reserve team game and for reserve game it was a decent turn out, there's normally about 200 of us.

Maybe we've only actually got 200 loyal fans...

Orient take it seriously because they're mid table and realistically won't go up. Plus, a cup run bank rolls them. Fair play for them for going for it.

I'm annoyed to see such ****e are in our 2nd string.

The only ones who deserve a bit of respect from yesterday are the back 4 and Jakupovic. Proschwitz's goal redeems him somewhat for his poor performances.

Orient were by far the better team yesterday, and i was in two minds whether i wanted us to score an equaliser or not.

As for the fans- fair play to those who turned out. I'd rather have them there than the part timers, who'd turn up with those rank half and half scarves on (the epitome of a glory hunter), sit in the home end and probably cheer on the opposition if we got one of the bigger teams.

I don't go to cup games because i'm not interested in the cups. Iv'e not been to a cup game for years. This is the same whoever we play and whatever team the manager is going to pick. I live a 20 minute walk from the circle and i wasn't skint yesterday. Is that alright ? Iv'e rarely missed a home game in 20 years, but can't afford aways too often. OK ?

    Same here Kempton

Only home games I miss are through health reasons and iv been going since 65.

have even thumbed it all over England back in the 70s to watch City..

No one cares about the FA Cup nowadays so why the **** should I ?

Was good when we were stuck in division 3 and 4 and never got to see City play a decent team But now we get to decent teams every week .

Also gates are down at most clubs in the cup games so its not just Hull fans who don't care about the cup...

Also there was tickets for alot of premier league games for sale from the ticket office.

the argument about real fans/plastics/premier league fans and so on is pointless. I saw my first ever City match 48 years ago, in the FA Cup v Everton. Would my dad have took me if we had of been playing port vale or Hartlepool ? Possibly not, so I might have never have been smitten and could have so easily have joined other family members and supported HKR.
As it is city have had nearly half a century of unbroken support from me. I hope my grandson who saw his first City match in the Premier League supports City as long as I have. Everyone has to start somewhere.
I question the poster who said he was at Boothferry Park with 2,000 others, he may have been making a flippant point, but I cannot remember any league matches with only 2,000 inside the ground. Our history might not be all it could be but let's not devalue it even further.
I was disappointed with the crowd yesterday and people have to chose how they spend their cash in this recession.
But the club and media must shoulder some of the blame for devaluing the match before a ball had been kicked. As it was Citys gate was on par with every other game yesterday in terms of percentage of a normal league match so lets not dwell on it too much.
My biggest grouse about the Premership days was the way the club threw loyalty out of the window when allocating away tickets for the 'big' games. Loyalty suddenly meant nothing. When it should be valued even treasured.
If I were in charge of City now I would contact all of those fans who bought season tickets for the premier league seasons and ask them to fill out a feedback form as to why they don't attend today, pointing out that if City get there again the away tickets will be allocated to fans who have bought tickets/season passes for the championship and also include a price list of the half price season passes for the remainder of this season, which I have been told have been selling well.
Also I would like to add that supporting a club sometimes means turning out for games like yesterday just to give the message to the owners who are pouring millions of pounds into the club that the club do have a hardcore of support who will always do just that..........support. IT MEANS SOMETHING.

I had to buy some home tickets for a friend recently and had my old KC customer number ready that was always requested when you did a transaction in the ticket office.

Imagine my surprise when I was told that all that stuff on the old system was gone, so your history 2002-1012 is junked.

As I wasn't asked for any kind if identifying number when I bought my tickets, I'm not sure how much info (if any) the current system stores.....

I wonder how many people who couldn't make it to the ground until Saturday were put off by the club advertising ticket prices as costing an extra 50% if bought on matchday? The official website and Facebook page both said that adult tickets bought on matchday would cost £15 instead of £10, yet this turned out not to be the case.

When I'm skint myself like I am right now I usually actually try and go and see the cup games myself as I know there will be concessions. I just want to see the team play. I don't have a pass this season and with various economic changes am actually panicking if we were to be in the play-offs as I think I'd probably have to sell a kidney or something to go to the games. I admire fans who can go to every game but if you're doing that over paying the bills or the mortgage then I pity your family as they will be the ones who suffer when the **** hits the fan

As I keep saying, no one needs to justify themselves to me. If you never go to cup games regardless of opposition and team selection then fine. It's just the people saying they wouldn't pay if they knew the team would be crap, but those same people would criticise 'glory supporters' for only coming when the team is doing well.
