Sort of confirms my thinking really, 22 and no nearer the first team than he was at 17. As a direct comparison how old was Vito, 21?
Nothing against the lad but, and even taking into account his relatively young age in terms of being a keeper, it just doen't look like it's gonna happen for him. No different to so many 'promising' youngsters we've had at the club over the years I guess.
Mannone is nearly 25, he was older than Oxley when he played his first game for us, but Oxley does seem to have some major injury issues, one of our youth team coaches used to call him 'glass back'.
Wonder if Bruce is aware of Mannones record with us, and how the fans love him.
