that would be a steal, and represents great value, and good Business, there is every chance you would get that money back and more in the future should we sell him get it done if thats the deal
Are you a City fan? You don't seem to realise we know EXACTLY what Fraizer Campbell is and isn't capable of.
I agree, getting a striker in early in January rather than at the end of the month could make the difference to us getting automatic promotion or not. Having a new strikers services through January could be pivotal.
I still can't see F.Campbell as a "hold up" front man ,and he was never the best header of crosses into the box.We really need a Grant Holt type of player , someone who is difficult to knock off the ball.
Players don't have to be big like Holt to do that, we already have players that can hold it up and are difficult to get it off. Simpson, Aluko, Koren and even Prossie in the glimpses he's played have all shown they can hold it up well. What we need is someone to get in the right positions for our crosses and stick it in the onion bag (Campbell), or failing that someone with a decent header on them (Morison) to give us another option if needed. Both would be amazing!
Thunder, it was a certain Mr. S. Bruce who pulled them down on behalf of Sunderland...he signed Turner! Did I read elsewhere that you followed City for four years and you're a fairly young supporter?
Im sure Bruce said to his Chairman, or Niall Quinn at the time, I want Turner, but it wouldn't of been Bruce that dealt with the financial package of the deal, that would of been Duffen and Quinn at a guess
Even if all this was true, and he does have intentions on coming here i'm firmly in the go forth and multiply camp with regards to FC, if he was our only realistic option then yes, sign him up, but there are a lot of other strikers out there who could do the same or better job than him, his celebration in front of us at Sunderland went too far in my opinion and he has burnt bridges that shouldn't be repaired.
I think it'll be a different kettle of fish when Campbell's old man comes up against the Allams. They seem to be far more astute businessmen than Duffen and think they won't take too much messing about. They know how good our chances of promotion are and will want the best players they can afford signed up as quickly as possible.
Off topic but all this 'non celebrating when scoring against former clubs' a la SWP and the like is beginning to annoy me. Soon we'll have a situation where nobody celebrates. Imagine if Mido ever scored, he'd always have to look glum.
Looks like they'll be glad to see the back of Campbell. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=752469&page=4
It's not celebrating the goal that's the issue, Campbell at the SoL and Marney at the KC acted like a pair of ****s.
