He pushed him after the full time whistle. The bloke had elbowed him beforehand. A straight red means he's out until January. He's a stupid twat for doing it. I doubt Faye can play that many matches with so little recuperation time.
ex players in the past used to joke about getting a red before xmas to give them a christmas break . .
so his wife has just had their baby. he can't play till the new year. who is the stupid twat? i think he has arranged to buy Lee a pint before the match!!!!!
Weldone to them, i hope they're doing well, but that is irrelevant in this argument. He lost his rag and went after him- it was rash, stupid and undisciplined. It may even cost us.
Lee's elbow on Bruce was outrageous. He should get a few month ban for me. If I did that to someone in the street I'd be charged with assault. Bruce only pushed Lee but with a fair amount of force. It was silly but I challenge anyone on here to get elbowed and not do anything about it. Can't see the red being rescinded though. When will Macca be back? Faye will only be able to manage 2/3 games whilst Bruce is out.
Bruce said the other day that McShane might be back training by the end of next week. So maybe fit for Leicester? I'd rather see Faye in the team personally, but I guess he can't play 3 games in a week.
Steve Bruce took a video of the incidents into the press conference afterwards and showed Lee to be an instigator in the incident and I imagine they will look at getting the card reviewed.
Do the club do their own video coverage or did Sky just not show the full incident until it's been investigated?
Hull manager Steve Bruce revealed he will contest the controversial sending-off of his son Alex that took the gloss off the 2-0 win over Huddersfield. The Tigers defender was red carded after the full-time whistle for a shove on Alan Lee, who was accused of making a meal of the situation by the Hull boss. "We are appealing his red, you can understand why," Bruce said. "I knew there must have been something in it for him to react like that. "I thought it was cowardly by Alan Lee, I thought more of him, I have had a pint of Guinness with him, I have played his guitar and I thought more of him. "Cheat is the right word for him, I don't use that lightly but that's the right word for him. He's 15-and-a-half stone and he went down like that. "That has ruined the afternoon, we had the best referee in the country in Howard Webb and I have spoken to him. He will report it and hopefully there is some justice. "Alex is wrong with his retaliation, but he only pushes him in the chest. He's my son but he takes after his mother." Before the ugly scenes at the end, Hull recorded their third straight victory thanks to Robert Koren's eighth-minute strike and a second in added time from David Meyler, although Bruce believes the scoreline flattered the Terriers. "It was an excellent performance and we were the better team by a million miles," he added. "Our only Achilles heel is our conversion of chances that we create."
Bruce Junior was wrong to retaliate, Which was daft because he was IMO in contention for MOM. Hopefully Faye can come in and do a Job (as he did at the start of the season) and If Mcshane is back soon he will step in when Faye gets knackered.
Bruce has been excellent for us and has been very solid! Any one who says they wouldn't retaliate after catching a cheap elbow is either a major pussy or a woman! He could have gone down himself and rolled and moaned but no he's too man for that! UTT!!
and the fact that bruce junior has been playing on one leg for the last month ? ... maybe the ideal time to get a couple of weeks rest with hobbsy back and mcshane back next week
Seems like we may be back to Hobbs + Chester in the centre of a 4.4.2. We are adaptable so will manage OK until Bruce is back.
