Hull fans have been taking the mickey out of Leeds for going into the third tier of English football (for the first time, whilst 5-10 years before Hull should (according to wiki) have been playing conference football.....<yikes>

Explain how we should've been playing conference football? We were ****e in that period, and in the ****e off the pitch, yet we survived on merit.

You "big" clubs seem to rabbit on about how attendances & histories should save you from the drop- Newcastle did it when we relegated them in 2008. But we did it on the pitch.

And what it doesn't say was 2 years after that playoff semi final v Orient in 2001, City were getting record attendances in the bottom division- 20K on several occasions in a ****e league.

We're a second tier club and always have been. I'm not suggesting otherwise.

I've said we don't care about Leeds Utd, it's the ****s from Hull & EY that belittled City in these times, but the minute you went through hardship (if you could call it that, cos it's nowt in comparison) they buggered off. We're very happy when the gob****es from this area went into hiding. Pity it didn't last.

We represent all of Yorkshire so it's obvious why someone from a boring East Yorkshire town would come to us rather than the tinpot no-marks who happen to be closer to where they fell out their mother's uterus (or spend their formative days, or whatever). If they gave as good as they got from the 'support your local team' brigade (even though they'd already made a life choice to support Leeds), then good for them.

My favourite not606 unwritten rules for Hull fans...

1. Never slag off Hull fans from Leeds, even though there are numerous examples thereof. But Leeds fans from Hull are contemptible.

2. When Hull fans come from Norway and Sweden, it's dedication. When Leeds fans do, it's glory hunting (even though we've won nothing since '92 and Hull have been performing far above their natural level in recent years, which we haven't).

3. Hull fans only hate East Yorkshire Whites, not local-based ones... even though they: 1) obsessively hate Leeds' squad ("same old white ****e, always cheating"), 2) sing that they "all hate Leeds scum", 3) refer to Leeds as "TWS" or "the vermin", 4) claim that the majestic and superior Elland Road is "falling down", 5) slander our city, 6) when polled on here, claim us as their biggest rivals, 7) insult out of town Whites who aren't even from their locality, 8) dredge up officially discredited gossip about Don Revie, 9) put FA moneymen over fans by calling us a franchise with no history, and my personal favourite... 10) boo Marching On Together and WACCOE when the Leeds fans belt it out, because apparently they're gay and their 'ironic' pawing actions aren't.

Infallible logic, the lot of it. :)

Anyway, got my tickets to the Humber-based arse end of Yorkshire today for our game at the end of December (another early kickoff, whoopee.)

Be nice to hear the same old stale Savile jokes for the eighth or so time this season. Will there be another pink flare from the Tigers faithful (who are definitely as hetero as they come)?

You don't get the irony in the "Tiger Clawing" obviously. We do it to take the piss, then the opposition end do it to mock, but end up looking twice as worse allowing us to laugh at you. When Leeds fans do that stupid gay scarf swinging thing, that doesn't have any other purpose than making themselves look ******ed. Therefore allowing us to take the piss to quite a hilarious standard.

Booing, "Marching on Together" is something I have to do as my family brought me up to hate Leeds... It's sort of branded on me, I can't help but do it.

You've never won anything, '92 was a different club liquidated 5 years ago. Lost jn history, taking all their 7 successes with them. You are Newco Leeds done nowt, won nowt.

If pretending its not the same club helps you sleep at night...

But I must refer you to my previous comment. The football league recognises us as the same club and so does the entire football community. What makes your judgement so special?

I'm not aware of any Hull fans from Leeds on here, there's some Hull fans from Hull who are currently living in Leeds, but that's obviously perfectly acceptable. And all Leeds fans from Hull are indeed ****s.

Listening to the report on MK Dons v Wimbledon FC made me wonder what other fans think about what seems to be a highly charged subject for those involved. Does it bother you that MK Dons were created on the back of an existing club? After all its only an hour and a half's drive from London to Milton Keynes, why did it matter so much? Or are the Wimbledon FC lot being a bit precious about all this?

I take it you'd be happy with Leeds relocating their ground to Leicester then, presumably you wouldn't be precious about it?

Also, why, when franchise FC's are mentioned, is this the only case that ever gets mentioned? After all, Millwall moved all the way from the Isle of Dogs to Bermondsey in 1910, probably an hour and a half's walk away (not even mentioning its on the other side of the river). As representatives of the original "Franchise FC" maybe any Millwall fans who happen to pass by, might like to let us know what its like supporting a club that sold its soul for a better location and more cash and bigger gates?

Millwall only played in the Isle of Dogs before they were a football league club, they played at The Den from 1910 to 1993(and entered the league in 1920) and that ground was only a mile from where they are now, so it's a completely irrelevant point.

The league should never have allowed the league place to be switched to another city, if Milton Keynes wanted a football club higher up the leagues, it should have earned the right to be there playing football like everyone else.

Cheshire, I gotta be honest. You did do rather well in avoiding Marko's question but still giving a response....

As he said, the football league recognises us as the same club and so does he entire football community, you didn't respond to this. All you did was say the same thing worded differently and more drawn out

I'd have thought Leeds fans would be glad of the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and distance themselves from a side that was mainly second tier, but for blip tainted by allegations of bungs and getting burned trying to play with the big boys.

It should be seen as an opportunity to build a reputation as a football club rather than a laughing stock.<ok>

Well then you can't say you only hate Leeds due to Hull Whites.

You've never won anything, '92 was a different club liquidated 5 years ago. Lost jn history, taking all their 7 successes with them. You are Newco Leeds done nowt, won nowt.

Same fanbase, same club, same trophies in the cabinet and on the records. Just like AFCW and Wimbledon FC.

I'm not aware of any Hull fans from Leeds on here, there's some Hull fans from Hull who are currently living in Leeds, but that's obviously perfectly acceptable. And all Leeds fans from Hull are indeed ****s.

I've personally met Hull fans from Leeds, so don't pretend there aren't any. Quite a few sprung up in your Premier League day(s).

Delusion is the only common trait between oldco Leeds & newco Leeds. Leeds United AFC achieved moderate success in the late 60s - early 70s but only managed one more trophey before being liquidated in 2007. Leeds United Football Club formed on 4th May 2007 have no history or links to oldco Leeds. The new directors of newco Leeds even argued this in the high court when fighting points deductions imposed by the Football League.

Done nowt won nowt. It's a fact get over it move on. Nobody's questioning your loyalty.

I'd be a little concerned over your new owners though, ex Man United Supporter is not the only worry!

They have plenty of history and the entire trophy cabinet of "oldco" as you put it is still attributed to "newco", as it still exists at Elland Road and is still attributed to Leeds United Football Club. But whatever helps you sleep at night. If you want to pretend a bit of paperwork transcends the spirit and soul of a football club because it makes you feel better about supporting a tinpot nobody club whose most successful period has been matched by your biggest "rivals" lowest period, then go ahead. It doesn't bother me.

The point you're missing is even your own club (newco Leeds United Football Club) doesn't recognise any links to Leeds United AFC (oldco). They have even argued this point in court.

Clubs like Newport, Halifax, Scarborough, Wimbledon all went the same way as Leeds United AFC and reformed under different guises. Unfortunately for football, fortunately for Leeds the FL lacked the required balls to do to you what they did to those for-mentioned clubs and allowed newco Leeds to stay in the League.

The decision to allow newco Leeds as an entity to buy a place in the FL does not detract from the fact that newco Leeds is a completely different club to the oldco Leeds.

The past successes of oldco Leeds have no affiliation to your new club.

They have every affiliation. Like I said, a bit of paperwork doesn't transcend the spirit of a football club. Everything is the same. An crooked old man's attempt to avoid paying off some debt does not transcend the spirit of a football club, which is why we all see the two "companies" as the same club, because guess what? They are the same football club.

This only comes into question when you sad hull fans want to convince yourself that we're on the same level as you somehow, when in reality your most successful period is matched by our lowest point in history.

Just get over it, we're not your rivals, Grimsby and Scunthorpe are.

Same fans, different club, trophies went with the old club, like wimbledon's did. The 7 trophies may be in the cabinet but they were won by a different club to what you support now.

AFC Wimbledon successfully claimed back all the trophies from MK Dons.

Your argument is based on a technicality, which only pencil pushing middle management types who wear anoraks really care about.

What a sad existence you must lead.

At last, you're starting to face the reality of the position. All you need to do now is realise which of the two example clubs relates the closest to Leeds position.

MK are in an artificial position of the league pyramid, whereas AFC Wimbledon climbed the ladder the legitimate way.

As you rightly point out, MK have no right to the trophies or history and it's MK that are in the same position as Leeds. <ok>

Considering you're still on here after this long, I don't trust your ability to recognise a laughing stock when you see one. Either that or there are no mirrors in your house.

Wrong. You're boring now.

This thread was set up to keep dullards like you occupied. Doesn't mean you're any less boring.

How long will it take you people to realise that I couldn't care less about the attempted insults?

All it does is highlight how much the truth of the situation really hurts you.
