The thread last night was closed long after I had left it mate. You said people that don't get to many games are not supporters and that's fine but it includes an awful lot of people on this Board.

And I never mocked you. If you can't handle the fact that some of us don't think a particular player is as good as you think he is, then that's your problem. If anyone was mocking people it was you.

I've been shut up many times by the Mods and almost always they were right to do so because I was out of order but on this occasion I've done nothing wrong so you won't shut me up mate. I can assure you of that.

Lets leave it at that and not hijack this thread any further, okay.

You can't stand up with your opinions on things so you leech on to other's people's opinions and form a gang to attack people who differ from you.

You have done it already here by mentioning 6 or 7 names of people who you think may agree with your opinion.

Do I do that? No, because I don't have to. You have to because it makes you feel part of the gang and substantiates your opinion.

As I said, the ball is in your court.

Mock me again and I will come down on you like a tonne of bricks.

For the record, I reckon TF's tweet was well worded and timely. Let's hope he leaves a similar gap before the next one. Less is often more.

Swords, if the mods close a thread because opinions are getting too heated, a 10 year old would understand not to continue the debate while the wounds are still raw.

I've been scouring these threads to try and find something football related but I'm having some difficulty in doing so!

Personally, I think that when you have this sort of animosity between two people it often masks an underlying sexual attraction/frustration. Well, that's what I read in the latest issue of Shoot! anyway.

Having said all that, there is quite an interesting discussion about world empires taking place on another thread. Perhaps we could embark on another such discussion on this one? I think Brixton's comments about Agincourt, Hastings and Rourke's Drift might be a good jumping off point.

No? O.K. then, worth a try!
