Interesting but unconfirmed rumour:

Andy Carroll: Hospitalised an Irish Sun photographer in Dublin last night by gouging his eye and ear. West Ham had their Christmas dinner there last night...you heard it here first...the story won't have broken anywhere yet but it will.

Just done a bit of digging and the West Ham squad were over there for their Christmas do.
Carroll was apparently a drunken mess, but I've not seen anything that confirms he did something stupid, yet.

A lot of comment on the Arsenal board about how they are doing compared to last year. Thought I would check on us.

We are between 1 and 3 points worse off against the same opposition (the range is because of results against newly promoted teams. In my table I have assumed we won last years games but we did draw at home to Wolves). Compared to Arsenal who are, I believe, 7 points worse off this year (annoyingly can't find the post to confirm this) and having their worst start since 1994/5 season. I see that as reasons to hope we can move away from them over the holiday period?

Someone mentioned Swansea using home grown players.

I was told some time ago that Arsenal scouts have a permanent caravan parked at the Broadwater Farm looking for local Tottenham talent.I hope that's wrong! As I moved from Tottenham's Lordship Lane a long time ago I guess a lot has changed!!!!!?

Must get a caravan! <laugh>

No District, you're playing the way I've been expecting you to play since the season started. We're seeing the real Chelsea now and the Sunderland result will tell me a lot about the rest of the season for you. I look for signs to tell me whether a team will have a normal or an outstanding or a worse than normal season. Our win at O/T could just mean that we will have a better than normal season as it was a better than normal result against Man U. Sunderland for me is your measure.

TMT I'm with Drogs. Beating United doesn't mean you'll have a successful season.

West Ham did the double over Arsenal AND United and only escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth.

West Ham did the double over Chelsea in 02/03 and were relegated, Charlton did as well and finished 14th.

Chelsea win and lose nothing by beating Sunderland but with the CWC round the corner a win is important.

I thought that was what his wife/girlfriend calls him?

He certainly goes with rich clubs who can afford the most expensive players.Hence his trophy case.Has he ever managed a hard up club?

He looks like the start of a Daz advert "even gets out everyday Geordie stains such as grass stains, dribble from Jaeger bombs and chicken parmo grease".

They will all end up looking like their manager in a few years time. Who incidentally looks more like a Pub Landlord than the manager of a group highly trained sportsman.

He looks even worse now with that moustache:

Anyone want to buy a cheap player? Fell off the back of a lorry. No questions asked.

Has anyone else seen Leighton Baines interview on SSN? On the wall behind him is a list of Everton players with some numbers next to them, times maybe? don't know, anyway in the middle of this list is...Theo Walcott!?!?...when did he sign??

Is this the same place that Robbie Keane went to with other Spurs players that ticked Harry off?
