Perhaps because Spurs is now a primary rival of United?
sure!Perhaps because Spurs is now a primary rival of United?
sure!I agree that everyone is entitled to an opinion, I'd just be interested to know why you have so many opinions on Liverpool, a club I bet you know less than nothing about, apart from the bollocks spouted by the tabloids, on a Tottenham forum? Being a Watford fan and all that. Start a thread about us on your board if you like, and see how much interest it generates.Yeh this is a big part of our season.
More worried about the offence. We need to convert our chances.
Well yes that is true but you all knew that at the start of the season - it's the leaky goals that you, and to be fair, pretty much everyone else is letting in that you must worry about. Teams seem incapable of keeping a clean sheet these days. And before the likes of GAF who don't believe anyone should have an opinion about a team other than their own pipe up I know Watford are as bad as anyone for it with today being a very annoying example.![]()
you mean the 'goal' that Shearer and pals have just proved to be onside on MOTD2? That one?More comedy gold from Roy Rodgers today as he says that Enriques disallowed goal " should have stood"! The excuses continue to poor in, along with hard luck stories and sly jibes at Referees.
This bloke is starting to sound more and more like Whinger and Bacon Face with every passing game, Roy should get himself along to specsavers...... but he`ll no doubt come back with rose tinted ones.

Sorry, I didn't see the game live as I was working, so this is the only 'evidence' I have to go by.you mean the 'goal' that Shearer and pals have just proved to be onside on MOTD2? That one?
The one where they completely omitted the ball from the initial frame, so you can't tell when it's actually played? Yeah, that was great evidence.
Have the laws on offside changed? It always used to be that there had to be 'daylight' between the last defender and the striker I thought? It was very, very marginally off from what I saw, but refs are supposed to give benefit of the doubt to forwards, and couldn't possibly have been sure enough to chalk it off. Should really have stood.
I don't think that the daylight thing was ever actually a part of the rules.
I think it was a suggestion to linesmen a while ago, but it got dropped, if I remember right.
The rules are now quite clear that if any part of a player except his arms are nearer the goaline than the opponent then he is offside.
I remember that this came up during a Women's tournament when someone asked if tits counted. They do (and indeed must, as if they didn't Jack Wilshere could never be given offside).

It's marginal, but he's offside.

MOTD2 pointed out that the CB 2nd from the top played him on with his back foot, you can just make out his stance, his left leg is outstretched behind him. Nigh on impossible to spot at speed, but thats what they showed from one angle.
MOTD2 omitted the ball from their clip though, so you couldn't actually see when it was being played.
The line in that gif appears to be drawn at the centre-half's back leg and it still looks offside, to me.
Just shows how difficult a job linesmen have at times, I guess.

I think Shearer said something similar on MOTD2, along the lines of 'the only part of his body that's offside is his hand, and you can't score with your hand'.I don't think that the daylight thing was ever actually a part of the rules.
