Who retired early? If you're on about Killer he plays in Sweden.

Well he did retire, came out of it to play in the Swedish 2nd division. Not exactly Premier League intensity, you could say Ray Parlour, Le Saux, Keown etc. aren't retired because they are playing for Wembley F.C.

They aren't :p

Those old guys only went to play for Wembley in their FA Cup campaign. Which they were knocked out of 5-0 to Uxbridge in a Preliminary round replay

Haha I did know they were only in for the FA Cup but never checked up to see how they actually got on.

Not a great showing for them! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Must've been a great day for the Uxbridge boys though!

Kara is off to the mighty Genk of Belgium, already wrapped up.

Both Okore and Kjaer would be good signings for us I think. Although Kjaer has questions over him, was meant to be one of the big talents but then his attitude has been called into question and he is fairly mistake prone as far as I know, and the last thing we need is another mistake prone defender. Would probably be an improvement for us regardless though.

Kjaer did look like a major talent but having seen a fair bit of him for Roma last season he did seem a bit inconsistant and got caught out quite a bit. May struggle with the pace of the Premiership IMO.

A lot of good players have come out of the Portugese League in the last few years. However I think they might be a bit out of our league with Luisao, Garay and Pereira

From what I heard, they snuck through their first game (after a replay maybe?), but it knackered them out so much that only Cannigia was able to take to the field for the next game - with the 5-0 thrashing the result.

I see that Nigel has confirmed that he has subbed Shaw in the last two matches because of cramp. Shows the dangers of overplaying youngsters. Suggest we well need a signing as left back. Pablo Armero from Udinese anyone? Rumour is that Udinese are open to offers.

Adkins also said that the only way for JWP to get fitter was to play, so sounds like he will be a regular starter. Cramp may also be due to him still growing at just 18.

Shaw is just a young 17 year old and he hasn't played much this season through injuries and illness so it's not surprising he isn't lasting a full premier league game yet.

Cramp is hardly a serious setback! It's not surprising in the least that he is not fit enough to play a full premier league game yet, but give him a few more games and he'll manage it.

I see Kelvin is being linked with a move to Ipswich one of his former clubs. Personally I'd like him to stay at the club in a coaching role but if he still wants to play then he probably needs to move!

Adkins gave the impression he's happy to serve the club even if not playing, so I'd be surprised if he went, but as you say if he wants to play...

We won't get Ogbonna, he could choose pretty much any team in Europe. Not really a rumour, and we're equally unlikely to get him, but Beckham's leaving LA Galaxy in January, could he do a job for us?

So, however, could have Ramirez, so who knows...?

Reckon we're more likely to get him than Beckham, though!

THink we have shown that we can meet a clubs valuation it's wages that might prove sticky. I suppose with Beckham the money he would bring in commercially would more than pay his salary!
