Was never ill with it from the first time I had it, even though one or two people tried to get me drunk. Thought it had a very good taste. Used to have the date pin pricked on the lable in those days and if it wasn't used afer two weeks or something it was supposed to be sent back to the brewery.
Had some down south once and the governor came up from the cellar wiping cobwebs off the bottles as he brought them up. Tasted more like broth than NBA but I drank a few and felt like death the next morning.
The moral of the story is - Drink hard liquor, **** beer. Beer tastes like ****, gives you the worst hangovers, it puts weight on you and it costs more. Vodka, whiskey and Rum give you a better buzz, they don't leave a foul taste in your mouth and they don't put much weight on you if you treat it responsibly. If you have a couple of pints of beer every night, or even quite often, well... the term beer belly speaks for itself!!
Off topic to the current discussion but Carroll has just been subbed by Fat Sam and he was pretty disgusted at the decision. I'd love to have him back!
Love him back but I fear we will not be a viable place for Liverpool to consider. That said maybe by June the wounds from them buying our side will have healed a little. Of course the issue will he want to come if not guaranteed a starting spot?
Still think they will go out because they are away to Shakhtar in the last game. Fancy them for the Europa League.
That means we could be drawn against Jeuventus or Udinese next round. Both are frightening fixtures. If we play them during our current form, I see us being embarrassed.
We'd get beat nine times out of ten, like we do when we play the top 3 PL sides. Some of them nine would be hammerings. Just different level and financial clout. I still laugh everytime they say Fatih Terim's name.
