Or the sack. Look what you've made me go and say AB. I'm already gonna get pelters for my last quip. You'd think I'd know better after what happened to Obi.
Apologies Tash .... you are right that my last comment was cheap. However I do not agree with your opinion above although I do totally understand where you are coming from. I totally agree that both sexes should be treated in an equal way. However without meaning to generalize, I believe that men & women are fundamentally different from each other. Just think about the different hormones we have rushing about our bodies for starters. I feel our difference should be celebrated rather than pretending they don't exist. Difference is healthy. Being a woman does mean something to me. As a woman, on this board for instance, I will often bring a different perspective to a topic. I do not feel this makes my opinions better or worse than others.
Being a woman and being a man means nothing because you shouldn't be grouped with everyone in the same gender as you. You are an individual, and the only thing that groups you with other women is that you have a vagina, and so do they. So when I hear statements like "if we had more women in here, we'd get more done", that's horseshit. A woman doesn't automatically have the ability to get stuff done better than men because she's a woman. It all depends on the individual. The fact that you offer a different perspective to other people on this board has nothing to do with the fact that you're a woman, it's the fact that you're an individual with your own opinions and ideas. No one is born with values and opinions, we all make our own minds up, and even though it's common for most men or most women to have certain values/personality traits etc, that's again got nothing to do with their gender really, it's because that's the way they're expected to act or think to fit in with the others in their sex. Fortunately some humans break free from this and realise that them being a man or a woman means ****. It's like all those guys who are into shows like my little pony that is meant to be for girls, they are a bit strange to be me, but they've realised that they don't have to prove their masculinity by being into sports and violent movies, as there's no such thing as being "manly", and as a woman you don't need to be into make up and glamour and all that ****, because there's no such thing as being "womanly". That's just the standards that are set by society. I know I've rambled on a bit, but you offer a different perspective, not because you are a woman, but because you are an individual.
You are a female, but that doesn't mean anything, just the same as me being male means nothing. The only thing I share with most other blokes is the fact that have a penis. I'm totally different from most men in every other way. I respect your opinions because you are a person, not because you're a woman.
Evening Minxy, I expect you to change your signature tomorrow when you beat Blackburn Odd KO time, but how's my man George doing? Contract yet, yes or no?
Do you think he is a 'difficult' character, I remember he went to Forest on loan, they barely played him! Bit of a mystery!!!!?
