Looked like he did that on purpose. He changed his run and clattered her.

wtf.. that really looks like he just went for her.. he wasnt going in her direction at all and then as Hullfan1991 said changed his run.. what a w4nker man...

Not only did he take her out, he just runs off without any apologies at all, what a dick Mcnaughton? (think its him) is- got a lot of respect for the lino given all the **** she has to put up with from the knuckledraggers in the game

thats shockin really he defo changes direction to take her out.......mind u i wouldnt mind bangin into her from behind

Hasn't he just tried to keep the ball in play then changed direction to run after it? Bad positioning by the assistant, it should be her apologising.

Are linespeople allowed to move out of the way? They always seem to stand there stiff when anyone runs at them as though they aren't allowed to move from their position watching the line. Then when they take a big hit they usually lay knocked out on the ground for 20 minutes - credit to Sian Massey for not being such a fanny as most of the male linos!

They're considered part of the pitch but I don't see why they would be bound by FA Rules to stand in the way of somebody charging at them like that.

By no means am I saying that rules like this in football make sense, just that I think they exist. For example I know the lino is not allowed to retrive a ball if it's right next to him and no one else is around. God knows why but they just have to stand there like statues.
