Is there something going unsaid about ***an. Ok the player has been out of action all season but NP has not really seen him play. His previous record of goal assists in championship has been impressive even though he hasn't found the net often. If the club think that he wont be up to championship football because of his injury record then why not say what their judgement is? I find the months of silence about ***an and failure of the media to interview him or even report how he is recovering very mystifying.:
***an was very good for us when he 1st came and then when he came back the 2nd time, I think he lost his form when he got injured at Newcastle and he's done a lot for the club, even if he hasn't scored a lot for us, he has worked hard for us when he's played
It's a shame he hasn't been able to show NP what he can do this season due to injuries, but I don't think he was ever part of his plans. I believe ***an can still do a decent job in the Championship, I'm sure someone will be willing to take him on a free. But let's be honest, we will hardly be envious of his goal scoring when he leaves... Good luck to him in the future though
Never rated him. Sooner he's gone the better, he had a good first 6 months with us but that was it. Whats his contract like? Will anyone want to take him on, maybe Brown will take him at Preston - I doubt it.
He was originally signed by Taylor, he was then reunited with his previous boss Parkinson, before being flogged to Derby, where he managed one goal in 39 league appearances.
never rated him, and dont care if i never hear about him again in all honesty... always wary of players who when being described by people, the phrase he works hard is the 1st point made.. that should be the minimum of any pro, you should hear, hes a good finisher/.crosser/passer etc..and he works hard... but when "he works hard" is the opening line, usually translates to- he is ****- unfortunately..
he is a good player but he is going I think, I remember early on in the season a mate of mine told me that whilst Hull were playing away in Doncaster live on Sky TV he was too busy entertaining 3 ladies in a resteraunt in Hull. Says it all really, Nigel Pearson won't agree with that.
Hate to be the devil's advocate but: ***an, alongside Garcia is our most under-rated player. He's not prolific by any means but in our entire squad there's only Fryatt, Barmby, McLean and Solano who've scored more than him in their careers. So it's a myth that he never scores at all. The most important point thought is that like Garcia he isn't a striker so it isn't all about goals. He puts people under pressure and wins far more throw-ins and corners than should really be possible. He's actually decent on the ball too. I wouldn't begrudge him an extra year. We've been short of a bit of width and tenacity this season and I think he does add something other players don't have.
Craig is his own worst enemy. Seems to have no team-spirit and he simply cannot keep fouling opponents and telling referee's to go and get stuffed and expect to get away with it. He needs an anger-management course but I fear it is far too late. Contract is up next month I believe so he will be gone. Pity, he has shown some promise at times but has lacked someone strong enough to pull him into line.
Since joining City in 2005 between us and Derby he has played 179 games and scored 21. That includes league 1 ,Championship and the Prem. It also includes some penalties. Ratio of approx 1 goal every 9 games. He is not cut out for Championship football and above. Spends too much time Fouling ,winding up opposition and gobbing off at the refs. Get Rid
He's only good for winding up the opposition. I didn't mind him too much when he was played out on the wing.
