64 of these 87 gasheads have made less than 10 comments.
35 of these 64 gasheads have not made a single comment since joining the forum.
23 of these 87 gasheads have made 10 or more comments and only 14 of these have made 100 comments or more.
im surprised how many have joined us! thats great in my opinion. however thats a big number of inactive users. i have asked if there was a way to get in touch with these members to try and get them back. apparently an automatic email gets sent to members after a certain period ot time being inactive. the email gets sent to the email addresses that was used to join the forum. clearly thats not working as no one is returning.
before bbc606 closed, our board on that site was booming - always active and busy. thats the goal for our board on this site. and with 87 gasheads that has joined up here, imagine how great this board would be if we were all active! if the emails that are being sent is not working in making them return to this site, then in hope that they look in once and a while as a guest, lets get this forum going, which may entice them to get active on here. im sure we all want this board busy and active.
i have been concerned of late as we may have lost our moderator pirate49. he has been a good friend recently so i hope he doesnt get upset about me saying this but he has become frustrated over a few things, particularly in a certain incident that took its toll on him. took its toll on me too and i nearly left myself. however that incident is over now and im up for this. i hope p49 stays with us as he will be really missed as he brings a lot to this board.
as p49 hasnt been around of late, i been unable to discuss this with him (as modorators) to get his viewpoint on where to get us growing. so im putting it out to everyone of you. im sure we all want this board to grow. so in what ways do you all feel that our board can be improved? be honest please. i wont take any offence if its about me either. i have been trying to think of things that could improve our board to keep those who join interested.
1 thing we could improve is to have more threads which sticks to the theme of the thread and not lose the thread to wums. im not saying we cant have fun or cant banter etc, but lets not make every thread into a banter thread with red or with each other. i hold my hands up as im very guilty of this myself. lets have some banter threads and some serious gas talk which stays that why. then we have the best of both. what does everyone think of that? i want this board to grow. if we can make our board available to all types of gasheads then maybe more people will be interested which im sure we all want.
if you guys would be happy with this then i can control certain threads buy deleting comments that has no purpose on certain threads which will keep the thread clean and on point. im sure under the certain circumstances of the state of our club on and off the pitch, there would be plenty of things to talk about.
i have suggested 1 way which i think could improve us, can you guys think of ways? lets discuss any ways that any of us have and try and implement them. remember its OUR board, NOT mine. i dont run our board, WE do and WE have to try something otherwise this site could fail.
another thing we can do is advertise our board as well. maybe try and get those who we go to games with to join up. if we all could find just 1 person each then that would be an amazing start. if you use other forums maybe try and get some of them to join us.
our current OS forum is embarrassing in my eyes. its not enjoyable. so much bitchiness and lack of respect for each other. being a gashead is like being part of the blue and white family and to me the way that site is, they dont act like a family but act like keyboard warriors on a mission to fight each other. i feel all of us on here get on well and compliment each other well. i feel we are better than that site due to this so we have the potential to grow and have a lot to offer. i value all of your efforts to stay involved and remain part of this board and site and i thank you all for this.
my goal is to build our board and i will stick with this 100% but i need all of your help. your ideas will be appreciated.
if we build it, they will come. over to you guys.

. 87 gasheads that is a suprise I thought there was around 10
. It would be great to get some of the outcasts from os forum over here as it seems the ones who speak some sence and truth seem to get lambasted or get called a ****head. I'm still in the believe that alot of them around 16 years of age
