One of the Twitter 'ITKs', Spurs Insider, who like many an ITK is far from 100% in his predictions, is hinting that Falque may start, along with Bale, Lloris and Dembele.

Very much pinch of salt stuff, but it's the first time I've seen anyone talking about Falque starting tomorrow.

Pre-thursday, i wouldn't have been happy about the prospect, but he did do well when he came on.

Not that I want him to play, but perhaps an interesting piece of speculation.

Good thread, I am afraid I will always fondly remember when Hoddle left and took all but the kitchen sink to White Hart Lane and we beat you 4-0 in the FA Cup and went all the way to the final, how times have changed... :)

    Gh10,

Falque looked decent on Thursday when he came on, although I'd be very surprised if he was to start tomorrow.

I'm going there tomorrow, hopefully see us break our jinx of never scoring there!

I'm hoping that dembele is fit enough, we certainly missed him last Saturday.
I'm also hoping that gallas isn't in our starting X1. I'm going/ hoping for this line up
    Lloris
    Walker, caulker, verts, naughton
    Lennon, Dembele,Sandro, bale
    Ade
    Defoe

Plenty of pace, strength and goals in that side plus a strongish looking defence.

HI J8 - I'd be amazed if Falque starts, just putting the spec out there

I really like your team but I'd play Dawson instead of Walker and rejig accordingly

If we win, I think we will as I think Everton will get one point max tomorrow

I'll be absolutely delighted of course. I'm well pissed off that Arsenal won today, would have been great to go into tomorrow guaranteed to be ahead of them by Monday.

And we could have been just two points behind City had there been any natural justice.

Didn't watch their game, but as I say I think City will make top 3. We'll do well to finish within 6 points of them.

They wobbled a few times last season and are wobbling a bit after nine matches. Balotelli might be on his way out and Mancini is under pressure. What will happen if they draw or lose their next CL match? They've lost Micah Richards and don't have a replacement as the others are injured. They were apathetic yesterday and these big stars are prone to tantrums. Let's again wait and see.

Now I'm not in competition with you Ghoddle, not at all. It's not a contest as to who's right and who's wrong or I told you so,ok.

No probs TMT, you just keep writing City off, and I'll keep reminding you they'll finish top 3 and above us, ok.

Saw on another site the rumour that Lloris and Falque will start, it's gaining a bit of credence this Falque biz, I'll take it if it means my fave player starts.

If this rumour about Falque is true who's place does he take?
    Isn't he a RW?

He's a winger, PL. Came on at half-time for Townsend against Maribor and played down the left.
I'd suggest that his traits would make him a decent attacking midfielder/second striker though, so perhaps he'd play in behind Defoe?

Falque can hardly be worse than Dempsey or Sigurdsson at the moment.

I'd have been horrified at the idea of Falque starting prior to Maribor, but I still think Dempsey and Siggy are much better than him.

I haven't lost faith in either of them, the travelling is probably continuing to wreck Dempsey ATM, but I'd be happy for Siggy to start today, if Dembele can't make it.

I remember the reports when we got him in on loan suggested that the trouble was that he is a number 10 but was forced out to the wings in teams that don't play one. He's been getting on the bench a lot lately and it would be great if we got a chance to see him play there against Norwich, even if I wasn't particularly impressed with him last season when I saw him play.

Another rumour I've picked up on is that Ade starts with JD on the bench, I'd be happy with that.

You can't remind someone about what might happen in the future - or is this a joke I don't get? They don't look very good at the moment, but a £100m spending spree in January will probably sort that out. If they don't recruit I think there is a danger they could implode this year and miss out. Utd don't look great either, but they will somehow manage to get in top two. I'm not sure that's true of City.
