A short sentence but surprised how quickly they got round to charging him and sending him to prison. Doubt it will teach him a lesson he's probably the type who will see it as a badge of honour but you can hope.
how the fk is it sheffields fault for leeds letting a banned fan from getting a ticket????????????????????????????? cant say it is leeds fault either, ban the idiot who gave him a ticket
Not when you consider that someone got six months for swimming in front of a boat and it was his first offence.
Despite them being charged with different offences, I think the difference in sentences may have something to do with the fact that Cawley pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity and therefore is given credit for that by way of reduced sentence. The boat race protester pleaded not guilty but was convicted after trial.
Be nice if, whilst he's in prison, some big boys had a quite word in his shell like in a way only big boys can.
Mate (Stoke fan) just texted me saying "kirkland should have been jailed for 4 months for that pathetic dive" haha what a guy
He did go down easy, just a footballers instinct to get the bloke booked and sent off........... to prison.
Food and hysteria are very different things. If they were buying up loads of food and it was expiring, depriving people who could have bought it at a lower price of having that food, then yes, I'd complain. Just because something isn't forced on you doesn't mean it's untouchable in discussion. Although if more people took that view, they wouldn't be complaining about the Sky Sports images of Cawley, because after all, they weren't forced to watch it. I'm trying to change people's minds, to make them put this in a little more perspective than the outburst of OUTRAGE and FURY that has been inspired by the affected abhorrence of the press.
Easy Tiger! Sheldons on the rag this week, so (s)he'll be really upset that you've been so insensitive towards this poor child! Prepare to meet the mighty keyboard warrior in full flow!
4 months seems fair - if it had been another fan or a steward that had got pushed instead of a player, doubt he would have got jail time at all
It should have been 4 years. Hopefully the benefits agency are all over his finances. How the **** does an unemployed plasterer afford to go to footie week in week out, whilst getting tanked up in the process. Especially when going on the bloody train when home games are 150 miles away. Another feral scum bag IMO
I personally know nearly **** all about these things, but my old man's a lawyer and said what he got wasn't enough considering his previous.
