He never reported it, not sure it was acknowledged as OTR, but he had a chat with Nicola. Depends how NC sees it, at all levels or at the top?
I envy your ability to make hypocritical statements with complete certainty with no supportive statements or evidence.
No supportive statements? we have 4 points from 8 games, conceded the most golas at this stage in premier league history, have lost from a winning position more times than anyone else in the league, on course to get less than 25 points. is that enough evidence for you?
It was a very realistic and well reasoned post, we are nowhere near as bad as people think, yes, the results have not been great but we have only been outplayed on 2 occasions this season . If we can eradicate giving away cheap goals then we will start to pick up points and gain confidence rapidly, we are a decent footballing team with plenty of goals in the team, there is plenty to play for yet.
No because those are just basic non-contextual stats that you can read from any chumps footballing blog (Possibly yours? Link me up I'd love a read). When you actual state well reasoned and well thought-out reasons for why we are supposedly so terrible, then I will pay you great attention, respect and consider your opinion. As of now, it has little value to me and I'll not waste any more time with this discussion.
Wow, you make it sound so easy. The thing is, as things stand, none of the things you have suggested will help us get points are likely to happen.
i dont need or want my opinion to matter to you, it doesn't matter. However i dont see how more well reasoned the points i have made can be?. I never said we were a terrible team, but we are a long way off being good enough to stay up. When we lose the majority of those next 6 games, i think people will start to see where im coming from. What makes people think things will be diffrent in the future and we will somehow magically win these games?
In your opinion........my opinion is that we have PLENTY to play for....we will pick up points against the likes of Norwich,QPR and Swansea and we will win games at home.
Thing is, and this may have been mentioned, Nigel's role is so much more than what happens on the pitch. All the changes that have happened in the last two years he has been a part of, some that we have seen and many more that we have not, I can't see any reason why Nigel leaving and someone else being parachuted to start from scratch would help improve the club. In fact imagine the situation where Nigel did go, and we didn't improve, it would just be a travesty. No, I am almost certain he will be here for many years yet. PS Optimism is free and available to all, you are welcome to give it a go. It might have helped that I didn't watch/listen to the game today
o fcourse there is plenty to play for. But if we have struggled this much in the forst 8 games, what is going to make the next 30 any diffrent?
I wouldn't get rid of Nige just yet, though some of his decisions are a little strange: not playing Lambert, getting Sharp in then loaning him out... It'd be nice if he explained a few of the decisions to the fans. I kind of hoped we'd turned the corner when we pulled back a draw in the last game. Sure we blew the win, but snatching a draw back might have given the lads the confidence that they sorely need. I think it was the two goals in quick succession that really killed us off today. Lala got us back in it, but the penalty came shortly afterwards and with it, my hope for the game. 4-1 doesn't really do us justice (we had more possession and shots on target than they did according to the stats on the BBC), but you stay up with results not the quality of your football. A real danger with a leaky defence is that teams see us as a soft touch, and that "confidence" strikers in a bad patch get a boost when they see us as the next match in the fixture list. If we do go down - and sadly that's a very real possibility now - my worry is that we'll lose some of the more talented members of the squad: Lala, Morgan, JWP.
But we have struggled only in keeping the ball out of our net (due to individual errors), not on the balance of play and chances, if we can cut out the individual errors then we have a good chance of picking up a few wins, especially at home.
I know the importance of keeping the ball out of the net, but anyone that has watched us closely will know that we have given away cheap goals that could've been avoided, we haven't been outplayed. Mistakes can coached out of a team with the emphasis on concentration, I would be much more worried if we were only getting 30% possession stats and not creating chances.
exactly, If mistakes that the staff are well aware of haven't all ready been panned out, then what makes you think they ever will be? (my entire point that you seem to not understand)
And with a single, finger in the wind pronouncement, you have won me over. Please can you provide advance notice of other forthcoming events? I'd love to take advantage of a bookie or two and, if necessary, make sure that I'm nowhere near any impending natural disasters. And you know what? I think I can already see where you're coming from. It's a brown place isn't it? Kind of like a passage?
