I remember watching an altercation outside my office window in West London where a black man, obviously London born but mouthing off like he was a Yardie, was coating off a white guy in the car in front. The black guy gets out of his car and he's "I'm gonna effing kill you, you motherf---ing etc etc" The white guy gets out of his motor and he is all stonewashed jeans, mullet hairdo and big tash, he walks up to the black guy and fronted him out. He was obviously Croatian, Serbian or such and had probably seen sh1t that would turn your hair white. He's gone right up to our man and given him the thousand yard stare, the black guy stops being all Jamaican, turns his hands up and starts going "Alright bruv, calm down" and gets back into his car and does one.

Our Balkan cousins do not have black people in their countries. Their kids don't have Black History month taught at school and there are no black people in positions of authority or respect. They don't have black drug dealers who think that everyone is scared of them. Their football supporters don't give a flying feck about the Kick It Out campaign and won't be at all bothered if UEFA give them a ban.

Stan Collymore said something similar around 10 years ago when it happened to England in Slovakia. He was saying that Bratislava then was like England in the 50s (Jeez the sex clubs in london must have been awesome then) and things wouldnlt change any time soon. He wasnlt tryintg to be an apologist for it but justtrying to get people to understand why it was happening. He also said that the absence of blac people in their day to day lives was a bnig factor as you've also pointed out.
