Echo Ivor's comments. This may be a lazy reporter blowing hard on some rumors or whatever from the August timeframe. Regardless, there is a chain of command in any business, there is one in a football club too. Curtis is there for many reasons, and one of them I believe is to act as an interface to ML in case things are misinterpreted through translation and for this very purpose as a connection to the players. Curtis has been around a long time, been there done that and is far more a Mr. Jack (IMO) than the band of rebels, whoever they may be. If the players have a gripe then there is a channel and Curtis is savvy and professional enough to separate **** from shinola and raise the issue with ML if it merits.
If players have gone directly to HJ then this is a major disrespect to ML, Curt and the entire back room staff. It places HJ in an impossible situation and one he only has one option on an that's to clear out the malcontents and recalibrate the rest of the squad as to how things are done at the club. If this is not done, our next manager will not be one of the top guns we need to carry us forward, it would only be a tired out of work journey man with old ideas, habits and desperate for a job.
Quite frankly it makes no sense. We have not been a first half only team, running out of steam at half time. We are a **** first half team, and have played our best football in the second half - higher tempo , better quality. If we had fitness issues this would not be happening. Clearly, something is wrong and it's not our fitness levels.
