Laudrup facing player revolt !!

All players trying to cause a revolt are to be put in the stocks and have rotten eggs thrown at them in an act of public humiliation.

...and the ring-leaders to be hung, drawn and quartered and then beheaded and their head put on a spike outside the Liberty Stadium. That should nip it nicely in the bud. <ok>

No its a collective concern by a number of players......I think personally that the players should not complain and get on with their training regardless because at the end of the day it is laudrup who will face the consequences on how we do.....Why the hell do you think i keep saying the jury is still out for me with laudrup. I still say lets give him a chance and the players should give him a chance also.....One of the reasons some players are upset is because laudrup has stopped the players traveling home and missing training like they did under Brendan and Martinez. Scot Sinclair use to travel to London after every match where ever we were playing and laudrup wants to cut down players missing for training.....to me he has a point as how can you work out training methods when a player who is key to it working is not there......It will be sorted so dont read to much into it as its been an issue for months...

If that is the reason that you are suggesting is why 'they' are unhappy then I for one applaud ML for making these players train.
 
Having read both statements my first impression is that its an arse covering exercise, the harmony and similarity of both statements is designed to nip it all in the bud and limit the damage thats been done.

Thats my first impression.

My other thoughts are that there is no smoke without fire and i think a few people have heard similar stories from the start of the season, gauging the opinon of the Jacks on here and other message boards its clear that the support is firmly with the manager anyway and an old synic like myself would perhaps think the players have moved very quickly to defuse the rumblings as they have seen that the fans attitude is pretty much in the "if you dont like it,**** off from the swans " corner.

Anyway, looks like whatever has gone on seems to have been defused officially and quickly, backing for Laudrup is critical especially when this story broke and im glad Huw Jenkins and the board have issued a statement backing him, likewise the players through gary monk .

No smoke without fire though..

delete my posts for what reason <doh>....my post is on topic and just because some truth comes from a cardiff fan doesnt mean u gotta delete it.......i have close contact and after speaking with him today i had 2 back dai up and tell you it aint all roses at the mo and hasnt been for a little while.

These guys are paid how much per week? Sad thing with footballers is they think the are better than everybody else. The lads fitness levels were low last yer, and fair play ML for working hard on it.

Rubber hasn't done anything wrong to warrant his posts being deleted.

No smoke without fire but not much light at the moment. It will be interesting to see which players leave in the January transfer window, my guess is that Laudrup isn't going anywhere for at least this season and the next.

It is not strange to see unfounded concerns be further contorted to coincide with the agendas of protagonists bent on our embarrassment or demise.
It is very strange that these tepid allegations have been revealed today as there is no playing staff available at the Liberty to comment: Those on international duty left earlier in the week and those remaining left yesterday for a short break until Monday, leaving the medical rooms and training fields empty.

Common sense would suggest that any story with &#8216;wings&#8217; would be published at a time predestined to gain maximum leverage or damage. Such as yesterday, for example, when the alleged &#8216;tattle tails&#8217; were available for challenge, quotation and comment.

Instead the report comes out today when there is no playing staff around to refute it. Understanding of the timing of this article provides common sense proof that it is a duplicitous article, nothing but pulp designed to embarrass and unsettle us.

Ashley Williams refuses to comment on reports of Swansea City player disaffection
Clarification - This is a headline from cardiff, sorry, Walesonline.
Williams asked to comment at a Wales press conference called to introduce Ash as the new captain of Wales (this morning).
Ash said he.. "had not seen any reports so was unable to comment"
Challenged again for a response by the same reporter, guess who? Tim Lewis, Ash advised that he &#8220;...was there as Wales captain and would only answer questions about Wales&#8221;. Ash continued &#8220;....anything regarding Swansea City would be addressed upon my return&#8221;

Caveat
No other news paper national or local (other than EP commenting on the response of HJ and ML), no news agency on-line, British or worldwide, has reported or commented on this report other than regurgitating its contents and referencing walesonline, who have not referenced anyone at all as the source of the report.

The story is from Tim Lewis and walesonline only and will be used as padding by other other agencies. Its purpose is to irritate, annoy, stir and embarrass and we can expect a lot more from the Cardiff press while they lead the chumpionship.

one of the main reasons of the players asking questions is infact that the training methods on hand aint what rogers had in place which worked fine and was forward thinking and modern.....mickey has gone back years with his method or so the players seem 2 think..........there are a few more issues but hopefully huw can steady the ship and get back 2 concentrating on the task of staying in the prem league.

Its going to be a very hard season and EVERYONE connected with the club needs to be together,im sure ML and the players want to do well,its just unfortunate that there seems to be a sideshow that is drawing Sousa like parallels, like most things there is the argument, there is the opposite side of the argument and the truth is somewhere in the middle :)
 
u are very much mistaken dude......i have a very good contact within your club and he doesnt induldge in much but when i asked him today if it was true what norway originally posted he backed this story up saying he`s known about the problems for a couple of weeks>>>>>he did also say huw would be having a word with mickey about the concerns......<dont shoot the messenger>

Stumpy, that makes perfect sense in fairness, so who the hell would wish to de-stabilse the swans ??

its not like we are going to win the league,we arnt going to take any champions league positions up,we cant compete with most prem clubs in terms of finance so unless the only reason is local media outlets having a hidden agenda im at a loss to think about who the "outside forces" are.
