I have a feeling Grosjean could be losing his seat at this rate.

It was a problem that was evident when he first got into f1 three years back as Piquet's replacement. I remember him taking Button and Hamilton clean out on the first lap in Belgium 2009. There and then I made my mind up about him. Yes he has raw speed, but that is worth absolutely nothing if you are a danger on the road. It's got to the point where I feel sorry for him. The mistakes are so obvious but still nothing has changed. I remember Yuji Ide had his super license taken from him back in 2006 for arguably much less.

It's got to be a super license issue here I think now.

I'm fairly sure double jeopardy applies in F1, so he's escaped that one. It's a good job he kept going after the incident though, the commentary team remarked that a 10 second stop/go is the harshest penalty bar disqualification available to the stewards during a race, so had he retired it really wouldn't have surprised me if they'd hit him with another race ban.

I'm also with McFerrari that it must be getting close to revoking his license. Ide lost his for a single incident where he push Albers into a barrel roll, and I'd argue Grosjean's collision at Spa was more dangerous. He definitely has speed, when he's stayed out of trouble he's often had the beating of Raikkonen. If Boullier wasn't his manager though, I'd have thought Lotus would have got rid by now too, he's costing them so many constructors championship points by failing to finish this often, even if he is often taking rivals with him.

That was 3 years ago. People improve in three years. To hold a grudge for something he did all that time ago is daft, and very narrow minded.

Not at all. True talent doesn't make mistakes even at that stage in their career. That half season or so he endured in 2009 was a horror show. Not narrow minded at all and I suggest you go back to watching replays of that season...if you were watching by then of course because you clearly don't remember it.

I'll answer the highlighted points seperately.

    1. Did you see Vettel in the first half of 2008? He was horrible, kept smashing into people and didn't finish many races. He's set to become the youngest ever triple world champion. He obviously improved.

    2. Yes, i know Grosjean was terrible in 2009, but he was thrown in at the deep end then. He proved a few times this season that if he can get through the 1st lap, he's actually a pretty good driver.

Ridiculous thing to say, I can't think of a single driver who hasn't made stupid mistakes, particularly early in their career. Schumacher's inexplicably ploughed a couple of people out of races this year and he's a seven time world champion with 300 grands prix under his belt.

Using Vettel is a ridiculous example. He legitimately got himself into overtaking positions even if he never successfully completed them and the ratio of his accidents was NOTHING compared to Grosjean.

When I say mistakes I say at that rate at that stage of their career. Never saw it from Vettel (yes he had a few but nothing on the scale of Grosjean), Alonso, Button, Hamilton, Schumacher, Barrichello etc at their young ages.

OK, what about Fernando Alonso? He made numerous mistakes when he was younger, the worst being Brazil 2003, and he nearly got himself killed doing it.

He's now a pretty good driver.

    Absolute bullshit <laugh>

Like you'll stop holding a grudge against Hamilton(for what reason I don't know) in 3 years.

<doh> McFerrari has an issue with Grosjean for his driving. My dislike of Hamilton is not for his driving. Nothing alike. Learn to read.

You love him!!! Come on... admit it.

On another note, I was wondering when Hamilton might pop up here. It took longer than anticipated, :p
