Another race, another first lap incident for Romain Grosjean.

On the one hand, he doesn't seem to have learnt from his ban, he's once again taken out a leading driver, and it could have been a lot nastier. On the other hand, it's only his first accident since the ban, so is it too soon to judge whether it was effective.

Some drivers, notable Webber today, seem to think he should receive a longer ban, what do you guys think?

The poll is only a few options, feel free to suggest more.

He is a danger to others at the start of a race. Be it braking points, use of mirrors, spacial awareness, he has shown he has none of these attributes!

No doubt he has the talent to be a good drivers, but only if he can navigate his way around the first lap!

Olivier Grouillard mk2!

He just doesn't seem to get it does he? Has any driver ever had more start crashes in a season? The even worse thing is with his 2009 experience he's not even really a rookie anymore.

What pisses me off is that the team will do nothing because he is managed by Boullier, that's the only reason why he is there if it was anyone else in charge he would not of got the seat.

He was known to be a mental case in GP2 just like Pastor, it's just now he is ruining the championship battle

Romain Grosjean said:
"After the ban, I'm very careful at the start. I kept my line and was trying to avoid contact with Sergio Perez. I didn't see the delta speed with Mark [Webber]. I was just trying to avoid any contact - it didn't work. It was a stupid clash. I haven't had a chance to speak with the team."

I suppose the issue is that he was too focussed on one car to notice Webber. How easy is it to learn spatial awareness?

We're hearing that Webbo visited Romain to pass on the message that he didn't belong in F1. Not sure how true that is..

I've heard calls for an instant sacking, too! (Not from Webber, I hasten to add.)

@F1Kate Rumour is that Webbo wrote the message on the end of his boot and delivered it internally.

Just seen this on twitter from Spa:

I felt sorry for Webber, he ain't getting any younger, and when you have dicks like Romain around, it is harder.
In his crash I saw his him look round, in a sense of hopelessness (what the **** just happened), take it back 10-15 years ago, you wouldn't have this.
That's a race weekend ruined.
I might sound hypocritical with Schumacher and all, but that happened only twice, 7 times.. on the first lap or whatever, gees.

Webber, kick his arse.

And now you ALL! know why I don't rate GP2 as a series.

I'll stick to the F3 and FR3.5 talent thanks!

But how many were his fault 100%? 3, 4 maximum.
Maldo hit him in Aus, racing incident in Mal, RI spain, his fault in Monaco, di Resta in Silverstone, him in Spa, him in Japan.

I was a little dubious over his initial race ban but having been involved again its looking pretty ropey now! Whilst some were not his fault he has to be able to avoid incidents as well as not creating them.

Previously I thought his race ban was a bit harsh... But slap him with another until he sorts himself out.

Since he was penalized during the race, I don't think they can come back and hit him with a second punishment though.
