Kovalainen is aparently now staying with Caterham. Maybe this means he couldnt strike a deal at Ferrari, Sauber or Force India

Remember, Heikki is being paid very well by Fernandes nearly as much as he was getting at McLaren. Also this year he signed with IMG who are a massive management group and they would not take cuts in his pay so that would discount any midfield team who almost certainly cannot match his current salary

There are rumours that Alguersuari has signed for Force India. If true it could confirm that Hulkenburg is going to Ferrari.

Well I did see he is following Force India now.

Great heads up on the Hulk to Ferrari with regards to twitter though Forza <ok>

Kimi to announce his future on the 17th:

Wow, I thought this was fake Silver, but he actually has a website for his future proceedings?

Why so long for Kimi to make announcement? We now know McLaren and Mercedes were never really interested in him so why didn't he take up the option with Lotus months ago? The only other obvious place he could go is Ferrari. Thing is, last week La Stampa said that Ferrari aren't announcing Massa yet because they have become interested in Kimi again.

It's a huge long shot, but what other reason would Kimi have for not announcing his future already?

Bit of other news:
Autosprint today say that although Massa in public claims to be confident of staying at Ferrari, the Hulkenburg rumours are affecting him a lot.

So, the Hulk to either Ferrari or Lotus, Kimi to either Ferrari or to stay at Lotus, Massa to either Sauber or stay at Ferrari and Alger to either FI or Sauber?

Crazy rumour alert:

Van der Garde to replace Kovalainen permanently from next weekend, with the Finn joining Lotus with Grosjean getting the boot. Alguersuari and Van der Garde to be Caterham's pairing in 2013.

/crazy rumour

Apparently came from the swiss F1 commentary team.

Up until the last sentence I'd believe it, but that's just because I don't think Alguersuari would be prepared to take a step backwards.

I thought that, but after seeing some of the things he's said recently, I'm really not sure. He's mentioned a "long-term project", which to me would very much indicate Caterham.

Good point. van der Garde is a good shout for the second Caterham as well, it's especially interesting that they're giving him testing time... but that would surely mean they've pulled the plug on Valsecchi.
