Well, we're apparently we're making a counter claim against him

What gets me is the last quote from him:
"Am I concerned Norwich fans are only hearing one side of the story? In a word, 'yes'."
If thats the case why doesn't he come out and explain his reasons for leaving? He keeps saying he had his reasons but doesn't want to go into them, which is fair enough, but he can't then complain that we're only hearing one side of the story. There was quite clearly something not quite right about the whole process, hence the claim and counter claim, but surely his reluctance to reveal his reasons behind leaving isn't helping.
As for the breach of contract, I would imagine it comes down to some clause stating if a bigger club comes in for him he's allowed to talk to them, but there was some dispute over whether Villa were a bigger club. In Lambert's eyes Villa were a bigger club, with the potential to go and compete in Europe and win trophies, however our board may have taken the opinion that a club finishing five places below us, six points adrift of us and in a worse position financially weren't bigger.
Anyway, as has been mention already, without knowing the exact details of his contract we'll or if he comes out and gives his reasons for leaving we'll never really know
