Pardew given 8 year contract!!??

If you put in a sacking clause....what's the point of making it an 8 year contract?
If he can be sacked for a set fee or he can walk away(which no doubt he can, as can just about everyone) does the 8 years mean anything?

Can I just add that imo, I don't think smarmy **** will still be barcode manager at the end of the 2013/14 season.

He's certainly the flavour of the month at the moment and his track record at NUFC is admirable. Interesting to see that trophies have been mentioned in his press interviews. Classic carrot and stick approach by Ashley.

It means if he does well he can't run out a short contract and move elsewhere.

clause could be if newcastle get relegated he has to payback ashley all of his wages earned over the last 10 years,or if newcastle dont get into europe 2 years on the bounce ashley has full use of pardews backdooor
