chav isn't used by youths though, at least not round here. It is the older generation round here that use it all the time in its 'greeting' form.
Kudos to you though. One of the few that knows which its/it's is right. lol
You might find this amusing. This is the 'Newark Slang' dictionary. Most Lincolnians know a few of the words because Newark is only 13 miles down the road so we encounter it a lot and 'chav' being a greeting is very very commonly used.
Romany Gypsy speak which is why the Pompey folks will encounter it as well:

Our defense is ****. Discuss.
I left college some years ago, so I'll give the silly essay instructions a miss thanks. And if you bother to read this thread you'll notice that it already has been.
Our defence and midfield were woeful for 45 mins yesterday but didnt Man Utd ship 8 against Arsenal and 6 at home v City last season. There is no doubt there is much work to be done and asap the business about us playing the top teams early on is crap and no excuse we had Utd beaten and handed them back the points because of unproffesional sloppy defending can you imagine Stoke allowing two goals like that in the final seconds Huth or Shawcross would have stood on RVP toes and been all over him like a rash we have to toughen up and be less gullible.
Fox was garbage again though.
Sorry I am a bricklayer and grammar and punctuation are not my strongest points however i could build you a very good wall .I did not realize the forum was for straight A students only if you don't like my posts give them a miss .I think the average non snob would get the drift of the post.No idea what point you are trying to make because your post is pretty much unreadable. Could you perhaps try again after learning about the concepts of the full stop and the comma?

Are people seriously judging our defence from games against Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal? These teams put us under such pressure that mistakes are inevitable. I didn't see the Wigan game so can't comment on that one.
Unfortunately passion is not the word I would use for some of the comments. Once again people are letting their feelings run away with themselves and resort to vitriol. Which is such a shame some have the art of debate others sadly do not, but will eventually learn.
Gomarchingin, yes I do remember who he was on the old 606 and yes I certainly remember he was more than capable of looking after himself on here. He most certainly is an ardent Saints fan, he is also one of their biggest critics at times. This should not be mistaken though for anything else but passion for the club. As I, like you Meowth know him of old........
gomarchinin was a Southampton grandee on BBC606, under a succession of different names.
Along with some others, some of whom (that are still going on here) I can't believe haven't worked out who he is, he was a regular visitor to the Pompey board and gave as good as he got.
He always gets really annoyed when Southampton lose and even when I, a Pompey fan, used to tease him he took it in good faith.
I can vouch that gomarchingin is as loyal a Southampton fan as you could wish to meet.
Did it ever occur to some of you that passion comes out in different ways?
I think a lot of the issue yesterday was that our midfield (apart from JWP) were over run, outwitted and looked hopelessly lost at times which meant our defenders were horribly expossed to a wonderful team.
I did think that this was Fonte's best game of the season so far, he was like Gen Custer at times!
