Apololgies for playing on your understanding of Chav the other day Joe. I did originally mean it in a non derogotary way but the beer made me play up on your offence at it. lol
Haha I'll give it a read in the morning. Sorry to all about the thread's brief excursion into the world of language, but TSS saying he judged opinions based on the standard of language used (despite making errors himself) set me off. Back to discussing if our defence/se is ****, then!
They'll move all the off topic tomorrow (if worth saving) Yes our defence is crap however our attack is awesome and the best form of defence is........... 2 goals will beat Villa. We won't concede 3 or more against Everton so again...........However need to control Fellaini. Not sure JWP is right for that game.
I left college some years ago, so I'll give the silly essay instructions a miss thanks. And if you bother to read this thread you'll notice that it already has been.
That was merely a sarcastic attempt at getting this thread back on topic. Clearly it didn't work, as we're back off-topic again.
Our defence and midfield were woeful for 45 mins yesterday but didnt Man Utd ship 8 against Arsenal and 6 at home v City last season. There is no doubt there is much work to be done and asap the business about us playing the top teams early on is crap and no excuse we had Utd beaten and handed them back the points because of unproffesional sloppy defending can you imagine Stoke allowing two goals like that in the final seconds Huth or Shawcross would have stood on RVP toes and been all over him like a rash we have to toughen up and be less gullible.
No idea what point you are trying to make because your post is pretty much unreadable. Could you perhaps try again after learning about the concepts of the full stop and the comma?
Were you at the game? Fox wasn't great, however I can tell you because I was at the game, Fox tried to get a lot closer to the wide man in the first half and so I see that as he is learning or listening to the coaches. In the second half he had two players overlapping... even I couldn't cope with that in my pomp!
Sorry I am a bricklayer and grammar and punctuation are not my strongest points however i could build you a very good wall .I did not realize the forum was for straight A students only if you don't like my posts give them a miss .I think the average non snob would get the drift of the post.
Arsenal pressured us and got early goals and the team fell apart. In the Manchester games, we slowly got confident because the team began to believe and then were let down by poor defending. I'm not expecting a result like yesterday again. Adkins probably feels crap this morning, but knows he has to get enthused again and find those positive he likes to use at team talks.
Wow that was harsh, okay there was a few commas and full stops missing but I understood fully! Honest opinion from an honest fan, let's not be grammar nazis!
Good point Chaplow , I wholeheartedly agree my spelling and grammar are awful as well , gaps in commas , poor spelling etc etc , but I write mostly on a I phone and my eyes are crap , I really need to go and see the gigs fellow . In short people who point out pedantic crap like that have only that to pull out , let them get on with it , their wife's are probably called Norma and they all have a 1992 Vauxhall Astra which is cleaned every Sunday...........
Are people seriously judging our defence from games against Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal? These teams put us under such pressure that mistakes are inevitable. I didn't see the Wigan game so can't comment on that one.
We were shocking defensively against Wigan Tom... I mean they had two clear cut chances in the game and scored them both. It was awful. We even allowed them to have one shot from the edge of the area. Diabolical *ends sarcasm*
I think a lot of the issue yesterday was that our midfield (apart from JWP) were over run, outwitted and looked hopelessly lost at times which meant our defenders were horribly expossed to a wonderful team. I did think that this was Fonte's best game of the season so far, he was like Gen Custer at times!
Hey PM, BT. Yes I do completely agree with you here but I also understand why GMI's comments grate. Just think a little more respect in the direction of people like Adkins would not go amiss, asking who the clappers will owe their allegience when he is sacked is the kind of thing I would expect from SB3. In fact Nigel is probably the nicest guy you could ever meet and you can see why people are unhappy about this. But when people start talking about spelling and stuff I get bored quickly. I am still sure that baz has a positive post in him somewhere and like I said before just send me a PM and I will give you 25 possible subjects. And it might even make the rest of your opinions a lot more credible... Yeah he was good, in fact apart from the Wigan second goal which I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for, I think he's shown this season that he can do it. Just hope he can keep it up and when we get some results the fans might even lay off him. A bit.
