There probably the same people who leave 15 minutes before the end.....
That doesn't make any sense, does it?

They're more likely the people who never leave before the team is off the pitch. Ever.

The people who leave 15 mins early probably want to get back to the pub before the rush at the bar.

I know, because we all did it 10-20 years ago when we were ****.

Well, 5 minutes early anyway.

i can understand both sides to this, i did get to the ground 10mins before kick off and i did miss 5 mins of the game, i know we should now get there earlier as others suggest. However it was never an issue last season at this time i was straight in, so to say there is no issue with new system is ridiculous. User error is also to blame, but i dont think the scanner itself is that good. It should have been something like at train stations where it goes in and out instantly, thatd work fine

some people dont help themsleves, i go in south stand and theres 4 turnstyles...yet some people join the ques of the outside 2 despite them being half a mile long and half the number of people queing in the middle 2...

Whenever leaving earlyhas been discussed before people have justified it by saying it was to avoid getting stuck trying to get off the car park after all they have all the way to travel to Hessle or somewhere equally distant. Can't understand it myself, who would leave the cinema before the end of a film? Funny how it is often the people who moan about people standing and interrupting their view are those who leave early, making people stand up and spoil other people's views when doing so.

Walked right around the ground yesterday as needed to get tickets for Leeds match. At two of the rows of turnstiles on the east side there were barriers set up funelling all fans into the next-in-line turnstile and the queue moved very quickly despite looking long when first viewed. At the rest of the ground it was the normal take your pick of one of the queues and hope it moved quickly - that's where the problems were.

They should use the filter system at all the entrances, then people are only held up by their own failures/problems.

I don't know if this is the issue that is causing the delays but I scanned my pass, the screen said it was all fine and then the gate wouldn't push. It then took the turnstile operator about 10 goes to get their override pass to work. If that is happening at all turnstiles I can see why it is causing delays now. I got there about 2pm as I had a long journey, so it wasn't a problem anyway

That suggests that there will not be any turnstile operators present from now on?

In terms of speedingthings up, good. Scanning the card and having the machine say to let us in shouldn't then need someone else to press a button to actually let us in. That's just an unnecessary delay in the process.

It is mainly user error that causes the delays. On a few occasions I've seen people trying to scan their passes upside down or by trying insert it into the scanner.
