Perhaps someone forgot to ring Millwall to ask how many were coming?

Absolutely pathetic. There can't have been 100 Millwall fans today, yet I counted two dozen coppers in the away end. That's not taking into account the numbers outside on ****ing horseback. Humberside Police, eh...

If they hadn't been there and a couple of hundred cockney hardmen had turned up and caused all sorts of damage and trouble, you'd all be on here bleating about that too.

    The Police can't win really.

Why can't you just concentrate on the facts there was no trouble, we won handsomely and its been a nice sunny day?

But they knew there were only 150 Millwall fans coming so all the people, animals and machines today were clearly unnecessary and made the police intelligence look stupid (or the police themselves cynically dishonest)

    The Police can't win really.

You're joking. O/T bonanza for **** all in the sun today.

Our fans are no angels and if the police weren't there, a few of our idiots might have seen millwall's low crowd as a chance to get a bit of payback for when they trashed the KC.

I don't mind the plod over-doing it when millwall come even if it is only a few, it's their duty to protect the away fans as much as it is the home fans.

<laugh>With less expense and resources than the Police, most of us new how many Millwall were coming.

When away fans have turned up and misbehaved, the Police were part of the problem, not the solution.

There's a discussion about low gates, some people are pissed off with oppressive Policing so stay away. Some stayed away because of the appalling article in the HDM asking for calm at a gamemost knew would be trouble free. Some stay away because of the cost, that is bumped up to pay for over the top and unnecessary Policing.

Less directly, the Police solve very little crime on their own, they need the public they're supposed to serve to help them. There are some whose only contact with the police is when they're robocopped up with horses and dogs. little wonder they don't feel inclined to relate to them as public servants to trust and respect.

Bury your head if you like or just post for a reaction.

Trashed the KC? FFS when was this supposed to have happened? They broke a sink and some chairs a few seasons back, but get a sense of perspective ffs.It was hardly Armageddon.

I'm guessing you work for Humberside Police, and are trying to excuse their idiocy?

The only reason there was trouble at the game three years ago is because we gave Millwall, what? 4,000 tickets? That makes it a hell of a lot easier for troublemakers to get hold of one than if we give them a couple of hundred. It was patently obvious that there'd be AT MOST 200 'Wall fans there today. As it turns out, there were less than half of that. All it took was for the police to contact MFC and enquire as to how many tickets had been sold, which the large Pig presence today suggests they didn't even bother to do. Don't they also have a system in place that pretty much ensures only the do-gooders and anoraks get tickets for league matches anyway?

Let's face it coppers are c unts, what sort of AR seholes would want to austrasize themselves from mainstream society. It's not the late 70's / 80's football hooliganism is a thing of the past. The police are a parasitic organisation, where the fukc are they when you need them?

The quicker this government half the number the better, no one will miss them!

They need to find out in advance how many are gonna be there. It's easy enough.

By the way, I think the club are forced to pay for the policing.

Thank god public order control is as easy as you lot think. Makes you wonder why we pay so much money for these so called experts when we have such a vast resource of experts on here.

We could sort out policing, managing a football club, running the country and delivering media to the population, without any experience just by using some of you experts on here.

"Hi, is that Millwall FC? Yes, I wondered how many fans you'll be bringing down with you? Oh 30? Rightyo"

"Right, we just need 2 PCs on duty today, everyone else just take the weekend off"

Agreed pathetic. Police should have been told to bring plain clothes with them to change into to swell the away support. That has to be the worst away support or one of the worst away supports ever at the KC.

Hull City also missed a trick by not doing a BOGOF deal and / or reducing ticket prices. imo
