Tash .... binge drinking 1-2 times a week isn't a healthy pastime
It isn't healthy, but you have to realise that I didn't really start drinking frequently until I was 19, I was a slow starter. I had a bad experience when I was 17, and it put me off drinking for a while.
At my worst, I was drinking 10 units of alcohol 3-4 nights a week, which may not seem outrageous, but it was unhealthy. I eventually stopped enjoying it and realised that it wasn't healthy.
I controlled it, and I'm now drinking 1-2 nights a week, and I don't really drink that much tbh.
I don't ever get drunk, I just get tipsy. I'm too pussy to go over a certain amount, because the first hangover I had was ****ing hell.
Anyways, the recommended alcohol consumption is 21 units a week max. I drink 10-20 units now, which is within the limit.
I find it good that I never really drank out of need, but just to get a buzz. Once I started building up a tolerance to the alcohol, and stopped getting the buzz, I became less infatuated with it, and realised I needed to stop drinking it so often.
