Guly's Italian? To translate Spanish? I'm totally lost here. Surely Guly speaks Brazilian Portuguese, and Ramirez Spanish? Although I kind of see what you are saying. A Portugese man I work with said that if Spanish/ Portuguese/ Italians talk really slowly to each other, they can just about understand what is going on.

Yeah, serie B but it's the same language! Though he doesn't strike me as much of a linguist, I presume he must speak a little Italian, and Ramirez must too having spent a couple of years over there. But maybe Guly's Portuguese will be more understandable for him?

Well he spent the entire Olympic Games in this country didn't he? Surely he should be fluent in English - oh, hang on, some of the time was in Cardiff, so maybe not...

Oi! The standard of English in Cardiff is at least as good as that in, say, Manchester <laugh>

It was a very quick apology and was prompted by Dan Walker who said that Saints fans were looking for an apology.
 
the deal was clearly only finalised yesterday, as a missing signature was mentioned.
