Guess he probably wasn't first choice but he sounds like an alternative to what we have and he scored a few for Spurs in their pre season friendlies. Looking forward to seeing him although it won't be today.
i think CMS was first choice redruth. it seems we were waiting on brighton to find replacements first and they didn't get them until nearly 11pm. also, i very much doubt they really wanted to do a deal - he's an important player for them. still, kane is an exciting prospect - all spurs fans rate him very highly and i like what i've seen for the england youth teams. give him a chance in front of goal and he'll take it, and we can't always say that about out strikers!![]()
This is the problem with the transfer window. It can falsely affect the whole feeling around a club. I just feel a little flat about things today and there is no real reason for it.
Says it all. The nonsense that has been going on on here over the last day has very little to do with NCFC. It just shows up some posters for what they are -- and I don't propose to go into details.I also think that this shows the path that has to be taken if a youngster is going to make it in the Premiership. It is the same path taken by Naughton. Kane must have only been 17 when he went to Leyton Orient the season before last and played in League 1. Last season he played 23 games for Millwall in the Championship . Now, at 18 or 19 years old, he has a season long loan with a Premiership club. Look at our so called youngsters. Francomb, aged 21, on loan to AFC Wimbledon. Adeyemi, aged 21, on loan at Brentford. Korey Smith, aged 21, who knows. Are they really going to make it in the Premiership?

A spuds reserve, is that really the best we could do ?
Yeah, but Tottenham have a far more advanced academy than us. It's just a fact that they'd be able to develop more players than us. I very much hope that we can develop a lot more of our own players over the coming years as we establish ourselves. thats something that is part of the longer term plan.
Agree 100%. I suppose what I am saying is that we have got to forget the past, including the players produced, and rely on CH to get the staff, and the funds from the Board, to push our academy forward.
