£6m - 3 yr deal confirmed!!! Yes!!!

And Moutinho deal still poss.......

Dempey deal done, according to SSN for £6 Mil. Looks like Fulham were intent on not selling to liverpool. :)

I just don't get why some people think this Dempsey signing has turned round the window. He isn't a striker, he's an inside right at best.
If this is the last signing then our squad has one backwards from last year and we'll still be sitting on a bucket load of unspent cash.

Vdv out and Dempsey in is insane.

So it looks like my claim was wrong (of no players signed)

Pleased we've got Lloris, a bit *head scratchy* at Dempsey and very disappointed at the lack of Moutinho (could still change there of course but it looks very unlikely now).

Bit of an odd day to say the least and I'm exhausted from trying to keep tabs on everything - dread to think what Levy must feel like!

Come on - 50 mins to go - get Moutinho done and I'll go to bed reasonably happy.

French football expert Matt Spiro reports: "Fabien Barthez aside, French goalkeepers have rarely enjoyed success in England. But those who have watched Hugo Lloris consistently excelling for France and Lyon have no doubt he will be a big hit at Tottenham.

"A quiet character off the pitch, the former OGC Nice goalkeeper is unflappable and extremely assured on it. Lloris is brilliant on his line but also quick to advance for crosses and is not afraid to come out to play the 'sweeper' role - a quality Andre Villas Boas appreciates.

"The one question mark surrounds his size. Although tall at 6ft 2in, he has a slender build and some feel that might hinder him in the fast and physical Premier League. Chelsea's goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon expressed concerns last year, saying: 'The Premier League is different to the Champions League and other leagues. Lloris is too small for English football.'

"Lloris' talent is not in question, however, and like most people in France, I believe Spurs have just pulled off one of the coups of the summer."

I agree,

50 goals in 184 appearances proves he isn't a striker and I'm not totally happy with the signing. We are still short up front.

We don't really know it all Northenspur, who knows where he is in all this frantic activity?
