we have the Transfer rumour thread for this type of post

Edit: Plus its 'shoot' the messenger not 'shout' and Fouthofficial is probably one of the 'Twitter agents iTK' least in the know...

I can't really see him playing until after the International break.

He should be match fit, its at home to Man U our record signing, I´m sure he will play some part. Before he goes on NA tells him just beat 5 men then give it to the big guy there that you say talks strange- he will do the rest

Won't be eligible unless he was signed before noon today. Indications are that that isn't the case, but who knows.

Does anybody understand this whole registration thing? If he's our player why can't we play him? I know it's the rule, but why is it the rule?

That's just the deadline for the weekend's games. Don't know why.

Edit: here we go, PDF of the rules: http://www.premierleague.com/conten...ndbooks/premier-league-handbook-2012-2013.pdf

Here's the relevant bit:
the deadline for receipt by the Secretary of all duly completed documents required by these Rules to effect the registration of a Player shall be 12 noon on the last Working Day before the date of the first League Match in which the Club making the application intends him to play

Probably just so the poor admin bods have time to do all the paperwork for all the deadline day signings.

According to BBC,

"Nigel Adkins on transfer target Gaston Ramirez: "We are very, very close. All being well, he will become our player".

Can we get excited yet? (or are we already?)
