So? Players have been thrown into matches before, and Adkins might feel he needs reinforcements for United. Would be surprised if no new recruits were in the squad, and even if they aren't, if they want Adkins to have the choice, they need to be registered.
Well he hasn't gelled properly, English isn't his first language and he has no idea of the formations or tactics. I think if it was a weaker team Adkins may have risked it, but not against united when defending will be the most important thing along with solid tactics.

I don't think it matters. If we're 1 down with 20 minutes to go, he could provide the creativity we need to grab an equaliser. At that point we'll be pressing forward and defensive discipline is not such an issue. If I was Adkins I'd want him available.
