Not sure if anyone has posted this yet but the Bologna FC twitter account posted this 12 hours ago "@GastonRamirezOk signed with Southampton" followed by a link to an Italian website. I used Google to translate the article: Bologna, Ramirez signed with Southampton After a long negotiation seems to have got the white smoke. According to reports from the industry expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, on his blog, Gaston Ramirez signed with Southampton. For the official transaction missing only the exchange of documents between the two clubs. Promising news?
What gives you the impression he will sign at all....just curious......as I have seen very little as regards him flying over etc? Edit.... except the above of course!
Yeah I think you're right. The Bologna website takes me to a different account. Still though, the Italian websites are saying the deal is as good as done.
O/T When my son was in the RAF he was asked to fax some important documents. Having never seen a fax before, he shredded them instead
....Then went on the lash to celebrate being our first choice right sided midfielder.... trouble was he drove home after... DOH
Er, just the last two weeks of positive updates to be honest I'm curious, how much info do you normally get about who is on flights into southampton?
Don't mention faxes.......I was doing my sea training and was asked while abroad to fax some documents to the local embassy. I had never seen a fax machine before. Any way I punched in the numbers I was given put in the documents and pressed send. Just after I pressed send the clerk shouted stop....but it was too late the documents had gone through and was being sent. You see the number I had put in was the Russian embassy and not the British embassy. I had been given the wrong number. This at the height of the cold war........Luckily it was just about one of our crew that had been taken to the local hospital. Strewth though that clerk was in big big trouble non the less............
Not sure there are any from that part of Italy.........Usually though the Italians have someone who gets to know what flights Footballer are on. They sell their info to the british press the same as they do for the Italian press. Whether there would have been enough interest in this player is another thing though!
Well the reports said he was ready to get onto a private jet to come last week until the Bologna president told him to forget it. I'd imagine it'd be a charter flight at the very least in which case it would be made public knowledge (anyone know if any charter flights are heading to Southampton from Italy today?), but if it's a private jet I'm not sure how much information is available. Edit: It's possible to fly from Bologna to Southampton via Amsterdam today, arriving at 9:20pm. But as I said, I think it's unlikely he'll be on a standard flight. I would certainly not be too pleased if I was him and I didn't have a direct flight!
Does anyone reckon the deal could go through before 2pm? I have to go to work and want it done by then. Don't wanna be worrying all day that we have missed out on him!
just keep watchin this till it gets announced. It works well with a nice bottle of pinot grigio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0LEkEOlrZ0
