If Bruce Jr. was just a player with a bad rep and not related to the manager how much time would you give him to prove himself? If Bruce Sr. was just another manager how long would you give him to adapt the team to his style and tactics? All I'm saying is we are where we are and it's better for HCAFC to give them the same amount of time as we would give anyone else.
Erik.. how are you going to win the Mod election with campaign banners such as... let's see.. "**** you all"? unless you poison all the opposition of course..
I really hope the creator of this thread was being ironic or sarcastic, if it is genuine then they are pathetic to think our manager should be sacked after 5 professional games.
We were never gone to win the cup. All managers give the "good cup run" speech but deep down want to focus on the league, and rightly so, our aim this season is playoffs, not a semi final knock out to Everton. And a lot of the teams which have gone out at this stage too will also be up at the top of the table (Bolton, Blackburn, Leicester, Nottingham Forrest). Theres a difference between saying no loss to a cup exist as a football league side, and saying no loss to relegation by the way. A pretty big difference We might not have to had face those teams but would very likely face a harder team from the Premier League as an example. Again, we were never going to win the cup and I'm not sure a good cup run would have done us any good either. Look how much it affected Cardiff last season when they lost the final after a good run, they nearly lost their place in the playoffs and hit a string of consecutive draws and losses.
2 league clean sheets& out!!!! Really!!! ****ibg muppet !!!!! You rate League Cup so high? Why are you not playing?
You tripped yourself up there m8, slagging Bruce off when saying you couldn't defend to save your life and he couldn't make the bench. Maybe that was your problem, he should of been playing. IMO he has played very well for us when he has come on , ok he has made some mistakes but then so has the deity that is Chester and I don't hear many saying he is ****e.
Managers leave players out and fans ask questions, we all know why Bruce was being left out. When we signed him we had Ipswich fans all over our board taking the piss. Telling us how he couldn't make their first team and good riddance. You will find a few Leeds fans scattered about feeling he was 'okay' the majority were glad to see the back of him, me included. I hope when our teams meet you play him I really do, I just can't understand with Hulls defensive record last season why you would sign such a poor player unless your manager was his dad
who is interested in the cup we were crap last year and again this, regarding the manager are you joking three games, three can,t believe anyone would put such a post, give him 6 months at least
Not going to get on the bandwagon of Bruce out, can't comment as I don't attend games any longer. But how the heck did we lose from being 2-0 up in the 1st ten minutes. I know probably the sending off contributed, but surely we can't be that bad
I would rather we had Steve Bruce then Nick Barmby ... Though I wish Nigel Pearson had stayed I am sure we would have made the play offs last season IF he had. As for sacking Steve Bruce... No chance.. I'm sick of manager changes and don't they all deserve a couple of seasons ??
Seen us two games this season, going backwards in all aspects. I give him till xmas - I'd happily see him go on the current evidence.
These managerial changes aren't helping the players gel together. If there's no stability and it'll be a while for things to get better if certain sections of the crowd (ie the dickheads) keep on calling for the manager's head after every defeat. The reaction of certain sections after the Blackburn match was a piss take. Completely over the top. Some fans need to bang their heads together.
A little perspective; Three league games: Brighton - We won when we we're second best - Sign of a good team. Blackburn - The better team but we lost to a lucky goal - It happens, not much you can about it. Charlton - Inspired goal keeping stopped us winning, not many teams will take something from them at home this season. Two cup games - Who's cares? As only 5,000 turned up to the cup games you don't have the right to criticise the players if you can't even be bothered to turn up. They are nothing games that just add injuries and suspensions that we don't need. We have a new manager, new players, new coaches, new training, new tactics and one of the divisions top scorers last season out injured. Yet we still have the best defence in the league and have made a solid start against three teams that will be competing at the top come the end of the season. There are at least 6 better teams in this division so finishing in the play-offs would be an achievement and shouldn't be a given or just assumed that we will get there.
