you know what concerns me? It was quite a strong team.. the loss isn't too important but 2-3 injuries/players out could be; Olofinjana isn't and never was the answer.* Bruce will play Evans & Koren in the middle but he can **** off with the 3 central defenders bollocks FFS
You can say that about any signing though FFS If we signed some 38-year-old who'd just been released by Grimsby, would you say the same thing? No, as all the evidence points towards him being ****. I'd seen Bruce play before for both Ipswich and Leeds, and he was always ****. The fact that Leeds released him suggests he's ****. The fact that no other Championship sides apart from the one managed by his FATHER showed an interest suggests he's ****. The fact he's cost us two goals, both of them winners, in the last three games suggests he's ****. The way he gets caught ball-watching, his poor passing, and his poor positional play suggests he's ****. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. The guy's ****.
I hope you're going to have something positive to say if you get to be moderator because if all we're going to get is this bile we might as well give AKCJ the job.
To be fair, a lot of Championship sides fell tonight. Blackburn, Bolton, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Watford also gone at this stage to lower opposition. It's no real loss.

Why one of the best defences in our league would want to sign him is beyond me. His ball watching is the biggest downfall I noticed at Leeds, along with his 50p head. If anyone but his father was your manager he would most definitely not be at your club now. Thats a fact.
I don't understand why people say that? What difference does it make if other Championship sides lost to lower-league opponents? That's like us finishing in the bottom-three and saying, "oh well, it's no great loss, two other teams went down this year". It's of no concern to us what other clubs did. The point is, we were two-nil up and cruising inside ten minutes, against League One opposition, and we've managed to get ourselves knocked-out. It wasn't even as if we put a weak side out. Almost all of the players who played tonight will be involved on Saturday.
Exactly. Managers won't admit it but they treat the league cup as no more than a glorified pre-season game. Why else did Bruce have Stewart as a wing-back FFS.
I'm not going to pretend I'm pleased with poor performances and poor signings just to avoid confrontation with the happy-clappers.
Arggghhhh this is the point ! Teams we wouldn't have to face in the next round if we beat DONCASTER With a ****ing decent team out we still failed.
Sorry to be out of step with some on here, but I will be there on Saturday cheering our manager and the team he puts out.
Im sure most of us will. Its still possible to have a negative opinion on how the team is performing, the manager, performances and signings and still support the team.
I'm supporting Bruce but never liked him and have said so all along since I joined here. You can't knock him this early in the season however and am judging him on what he does with us. What is annoying though is people saying Pearson and Barmby were too negative when it's looking like Bruce will be even more negative. It might work though who knows.
I've never booed once at a City match, and I always support them fully when I'm at the game. People like Craig simply confuse me. How can a football fan say they are happy with us signing **** players like Bruce, and that we should ignore the plethora of reasons why we shouldn't have done and not slag him off on forums? And all in spite of him performing poorly thus far anyway?
We all had preconceptions about Bruce. When he was at Sunderland he poached Turner and Campbell from us and he developed into a hate figure. But time have changed. He is now OURS. As such he deserves and needs our support.
hang on, was I the only one who recalls Bruce saying he likes to play "attacking football" during his post-signing press conf? 3 CBs eh Brucie? no bonus for that..
TBF I wasn't happy about us signing Bruce, but when he puts our shirt on he deserves a decent period to prove himself and 3 league games isn't enough. Call me a happy clapper if you want, but I don't think it's in the club's best interests this season to force yet another manager out. Negativity breeds negativity. Before you know it the booing will start again and the morons will be out in force on RH. All supporters should be as patient as possible for the sake of the team.
It's a shame Prozzy wasn't given a chance to shine tonight too because he will come straight back into the team v a lot better opposition and be under pressure again
I don't want Bruce Snr out. Alex, yes, but not Steve. All I'm saying is, he's not doing himself any favours. Junior has already admitted that things were uncomfortable for them when at Birmingham together, and it's just another thing for the fans to get on Senior's back about if results don't start improving. So far his tactics, formations, and the timings of some of his substitutions have already got me concerned. Giving that arsewipe of a son of his a deal and having the nerve to play him as part of a back-three is the icing on the cake.
