Won't have cost too much either - rumoured to be around £3million.

Much better option than Phillips who'd have cost alot and doesn't have the technique that Mayuka possesses.

Yeah, that's a deal-and-a-half given what he has done to date; surprised that none of the big fish took a punt at that price. If we're going to play the 4-3-3, he's a perfect fit...the thought of his pace and finishing on one side, with the creativity and flair of Ramirez on the other, is really rather mouth-watering. And we now have the depth up front to throw a variety of different looks at teams, and to sustain an injury or two without sacrificing too much...this will be fun.

I imagine he will be used as a winger.

Lambert will not be going anywhere.

He's waited his whole career to play in the Prem so why would he bottle it to a worse off club now?

Don't even listen to the rumours - there is absolutely no chance of us accepting an offer for him unless it's crazy (£9m+)...

Glad we are still in the League cup, its going to be difficult to give all our strikers a run out as it is!
The lad sounds good, something different as well which is important, but I really want to see the players we've got given the chance......& taking the chance.

edit: my mistake

Mayuka and Ramirez (IF) would certainly be a step up from De Ridder and Chaplow, only just mind.

Although 12 minutes long it was a pretty decent YouTube preview as it was far from a collection of great moments repeated over and over.
Got a good feeling as what Mayuka is about and adds something we currently don't possess in the squad and that's pace and power.
We were crying out for that kind of direct running style on Saturday. Naturally judgement must be reserved until he performs in the red and a little white but good addition I'd say.

mentioned it on a thread yesterday, watching the clips od Mayuka, does he remind anyone else of Kenwyne Jones?
