Hill should of been taken off before half time
Been great for us but I would not be surprised if he never starts another game for the first team with new signings on the way

It will come. The Thing with MH's teams is they build and build and build. We saw evidence of that after Jan. we have to go through that again I'm afraid. Some tough games coming up,that we probably don't expect to get any points from, so will be interesting to see what happens during those games. Once the window closes everything will settle down, and the grafting will begin.

Totally agree,we were a shambles.Dont really know where MH goes with this lot,at times we look worse than the lot we had starting last year and they were pretty bad.
Why hasnt MH sorted out the back 4,he must have noticed last season how vunerable we were but did nothing to sort it out.Dont understand that but hey ho wot do I know.

Well most of us on here knew our defence was suspect and we're not paid silly money for the privilege...

Every fibre of my being is telling me that MH is really struggling to get a decent formation and tactics out of a good bunch of players........but it's only been two games so I'm willing to be proved wrong!!

What surprises me is that it took the 5-0 mauling from Swansea before we start looking for a decent Centre back.I dont really know if Dawson or Cavahlio(excuse spelling) are the answer. If he doesnt get it sorted this week we are in for another hammering next saturday and its on the tele.

RR you and the rest of the R's faithful seem to know that the defence has been and remains awful. Just need MH to have an epiphany or just wake up !!!!!

Just wish hed sorted it pre season cos players never gel when there in the **** after the first game.Even if he buys three this week they probably wont train together until the following week and by then we would have been to Man City with a home game to Chelsea coming up.

That's not true, you need two hands to count the number of CB's we were linked with prior to Swansea

At the end of the day it's harsh to blame the players who seem lost within a non existent system. The problem right now isn't Hill or Traore or even Barton or Dyer; the problem is Hughes who seems to have messed up his relationship with his players. He's always had a reputation of being a bit of a twat as a manager and having dubious business associates as in KJ but even I never thought he'd mess up this bad.

All things considered the players have been excellent in the these two games considering the failures of management. Not their fault.

Unfortunately Grifter being "linked with" is all rumour. There was has been nothing offish on the web site so you can only presume that there are no Centre Backs on there way anytime soon.Imo MH should have had a settled back 4 on the first day of pre season not still searching three weeks into the season.I thnk last Saturdays result and Norwich,s first goal today bears that out.

But it's fair to say there's no smoke without fire, and it makes perfect sense that we'd have inquired about zouma/heinze/mbia/khader-thingie/that greek kid/samba etc. as all the summer reports suggested. We all knew we needed centre backs, as did the management. I think what's happened is they've looked at the fixtures and thought "hmm, we're only playing Swansea and Norwich before the window closes.. We'll probably beat them with our current side anyway, so we might as well hold out for the best CB avilable for a reasonable price and not rush a purchase". To be honest, i think that what we'd have all thought too. It may still end up being a wise choice. If we get a better CB than we would have managed earlier in the window, we might have forgone 5 points now...for earning a lot more throughout the rest of the season.

I sincerely hope Hughes hasn't "lost" the dressing room already. That would be disastrous!!
Not sure though, as a lot of these players have played under him before and surely wouldn't have signed again if they didn't like playing for him? Also, the ones from last year certainly put it in for him during the run in!

Blimey, good job we didn't lose!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but there is a lot of old tosh on here tonight.
It is well known that Hughes teams take a while to get going. Are we not even giving him two games? (one of which broke a 5 match losing away run)
    Ridiculous.
