Still question marks on certain things for me- communication was poor. Him and Morro almost had a notts county moment. And he flapped a few times, the one from the corner could have been costly.

Buiuuut, different argument for a different day. For tonight, we celebrate!

I've been his biggest critic but he's been great the last few games and but for Kermit would have been MOM today.

I think Hamer had his best game for us today, made some great saves.

BUT like Super said, communication was poor again, and he stayed on his line a bit too much.

To get back to the original question in the first post of this thread, yes, CP can give Hamer a rest now. In fact, he can the rest the whole lot of them if he wants!

Just thought i'd resurrect this thread, as i'm getting really peed off with Hamer, he keeps letting a goal in.
I think we should rest him TBH - he's useless.

True, he's useless. He's also much better than Sullivan.

We need a two decent keepers.

The ball went out after we won a free kick and Hamer came up the pitch to take it, the ball boy ignored him and through the ball up the other end. Hamer shouted at him 'What game chew washing?'

Stand by what I said last season. He needed to step his game up as he was making too many errors.

He's had 2 mighty fine games, and I hope it continues. Was it dr kish who suggested it could be down to Hamer having eye surgery in the summer?

I actually saw him having a go at the ball boy from the covered end. To be fair, considering Hamer's usual time-wasting antics, he can hardly talk. ...Bully.

He's had a decent few games but he hasn't won me over at all. I feel a new keeper is needed to push him though, don't have much faith in Sullivan sadly.

I thought he was superb but I think that he did come and claim a lot of crosses by his standard, one in particular in the second half when he came out to about level with the penalty spot and claimed a free kick that was hoisted into the box, was a great claim I thought. But then again Deano never used to claim anything he'd sit on his line and if Hamer turned into half the keeper Deano was I'd be more then happy

That was a feature of his game at St. Andrews on Saturday - never seen him catch so many. <ok>

That's a good way to describe him. I'm not a fan of his.

Strange to bring up a thread that's four months old but OK..... right, at the time Harmer was playing poorly and Sulivan DID deserve his chance in the first team but... and I'm not claiming an assist here...... after this thread he seemed to get his head down and get on with earning his money which is what he did do at the end of last season and the start of this.

There is a rumour going round that he had lazer eye surgery over the summer as he disliked wearing contacts during games and that this may have given him more confidence to catch amoungst players. If this is true I do not know but that is the rumour.

Finally, although his command of the box has improved in the first two games his kicking seems to have suffered... half way through the second half last night (after Hamer has collected a through ball) Wiggins was all alone on his touchline...literally nobody within 30 yards of him.... yet Harmer did not look at him once and still tried that high ball out to the right wing at Kermit. Last season he would have a quick look round before kicking but last night they were ALL at Kermit.

But 'hey ho' overall he had a very good game :)

Yes he did have laser surgery on his eyes. He is playing well but that does not change my view on him, it's more him as a person not a player.

As you know him personally it's different but a bit rich to make negative comments about someone if you don't know them. His goal keeping peformance has been sound last season, he only had a few off games and made some great saves and is continuing to do so as far as this season is concerned.
