Well said. I must say I'm very upset about this. More about footie being all about the money and not enough about the soul. You need players in your team who the fans particularly identify with, who don't seem just to be "passing through", being there on a temporary basis until their next transfer. Players who play in the right way, don't complain and so on. Over and above that Dawson is a proper Captain, there are few of them about. I can't speak highly enough of the man. So there may be a business case to be made, but actually I would suggest its quite marginal. It strengthens QPR quite a lot and we lose a very good player, leader and apparently a genuinely good guy... and IMHO we take one more step toward losing our soul. Even Chelski has Terry, when even if you loathe him you've got to commend the fact that he and the club are one. I felt the same about Dawson.
