That's one of my sayings, find your own.

It's funny that you didn't mention Adebayor? It's probably down to you not having a clue.

What i will say is that Dawson has always looked a good player although a bit slow and injury prone but he is just what QPR need as our defence on Saturday was shocking and can do with some quality. £9M for me is not a great deal and seems a little high but i am sure the people behind the scenes will know what they are doing.
As for MH he was sacked at Man City before he had a chance so how good he could really be but who will know, however i wouldn't start knocking MH when you have AVB in charge because it doesn't take an expert to realise that the bloke is a joke. As i said i will return at Xmas to see how well he has got on. <ok>

I have to agree with Ellers here. Given AVB's record it seems strange Spurs fans are attacking Hughes.

Didn't AVB spend £12m on Meireles and it's well known he wanted to replace Cole for Pereira. And his tactical naivety was exposed by many whereas Hughes to his credit managed to make a struggling QPR side victorious over Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

At the end of the day about 50% of all current PL managers are unproven at this level but Hughes isn't one of them

Not mentioning Adebayor? Probably because I listed two average/crap players Hughes signed off the top of my head to laugh at, I'm sorry if you got the impression I was listing every player Hughes' City ever signed.

Dawson's a quality player, hence my surprise that there weren't better teams in for him and that he's happy to join you. I'd rather we kept him myself.

Hughes was sacked from City before he had a chance(he had well over a year), yet AVB is a joke for his performance in less than a season with Chelsea? That doesn't even make sense. You only have to look at AVB's trophies he's won in a short managerial career to know he's not a joke. Will he be a success at Spurs, I don't know but I certainly hope so.

I called Hughes an idiot because he is. That's the short and tall of it.

I'm not going to bother to continue comparing Hughes and AVB because quite frankly it's ridiculous and I'm sure you could probably answer your own post yourself.

Hughes isn't the greatest manager i'll agree with that but he has achieved far more in the English game and is held in higher regard than AVB is or could ever hope to be. But as you say comparisons are futile.

Erm, what? Are you high on crack? I'm sure AVB hopes to be held in much higher regard than Hughes. What a stupid comment

He did indeed, he started well at Fulham too. He left all those jobs to further his career and other than after the Wales job he ended up looking like an idiot

    This.

AVB was crap at Chelsea and once he left they went on and won the CL. The amount of pros/pundits that say AVB hasn't got a clue is endless.
Anyway i look at it this way if MH lets us down and doesn't come up with the goods we can get 'Arry' in because he can be at a club that wants him?

£9million for Dawson out, and £5million for Adebayor in?

That is what you call STUNNING business.

Bet every club would like a Levy!

Let's wait to see what you get for Modric first! Rumours ranging from £24m (terrible) to £36m (good business!)!

I'm a Sunderland fan mate, if we get £24 million for Modric it'll be the best deal in football history!

We've got City still paying half of Ade's wages for the next two years so I guess it could happen <laugh>

    Well said <applause>

On the plus side he's been able to leave with his good name intact rather than over stay his welcome like Keane did.

As long as we still get £40mill it's all fine by me :D

Infact, you might need City to pay their own fee for Johnson, you won't have much change from that £24mill once you've signed Jenas from us <whistle>

Don't go saying **** like that man, we have been linked.....

Would have took Hudd mind, surprised we never made a move there!

How about, we take £24million for Modric, City pay us £15million to take AJ, and we give you half, a cool £19.5million for Defoe, but you pay Defoe's wages.

    Ah ****, your not City....
