Fuller to Charlton is a done deal, hopefully he'll be fat and off teh pace against us (if he plays).

If Bruce wants another midfielder does anyone think we should go in for Maurice Edu from Rangers?
He's on trial at Leeds apparently, if we're getting Meyler I can't see us going for anyone else, we've got loads of central midfielders.
I think if we don't Elmo and Meyler, Edu and Coppinger would be more than acceptable, we need to get rid of Olofinjana
Phew that was close. Glad he has gone to Charlton but maybe a sign that Fuller lacks ambition in the twilight of his career. IF he has rejected both us and Middlesboro that would indicate much to me actually.
Another reason to rest Faye tonight. Faye and Fuller share the same pace levels. Lol.

O/T. With Bristol City now having signed up Sam Baldock from West Ham speculation that Bristol City striker Brett Pittman could be on his way to join old boss Eddie Howe @ Burnley.
Don't want Edu, he's good and he's only 26 but he's a defender/midfielder. Bruce clearly wants more attack minded players ie Meyler, Elmo & Coppinger. We might not get all/any of them but it indicates what type of player Bruce thinks we need.
The only category Edu fills that Bruce has said we need is a strength and height, but we clearly want Meyler to solve that and by the time MON says yes or no to that i expect Edu to have already signed for someone.
If we don't get Elmo, i'd like us to get King back on loan. I know Bruce has never even suggested we're even looking at it but he's exactly what we need, pacey attacking winger/striker and wouldn't even cost us much.

Sunderland agree fee with Wolves for Fletcher, this at least shows the Mackems are making progress with their signings and can focus more on getting Johnson, Rose & Jenas. Hopefully we're now one step closer to getting Meyler & Elmo.

No I think you're probably on the mark, prem clubs need to get their incoming players sorted before they'll let players go.
I thought i was maybe reading too much into it given that Fletcher plays in a position we're not trying to take anyone from, but it is obviously a positive sign for us.

Theres a chance we may be, with Fletcher, Saha, Campbell and Ji dong Won there's a chance Wickham may be made available and who's to say Bruce wouldn't be interested.
i suppose it's possible, i'm not convinced we'd get him though. Sunderland are short of out and out strikers so he might be closer to the first team than most people think.
Think the Adam Johnson to Sunderland deal is the one that determines whether we get elohamady.

N'Zonzi has publically stated he wants out of Blackburn so would be a no brainer if O'Neill is indeed interested
