And according to Dutch news agencies it's 5,5 million euro's not pounds.
But it looks like he is going to Fulham, Twente want's to cash in before the contract runs out.
Id personally prefer to keep the money and get Mr Johnson from Man City... Johnson on the Left and HBA on the right is an awesome line up
Seems like agent talk to me. Of course it could turn out to be true, but at the moment it seems that Douglas' agent is just trying to pit us against each other to drive the price/wage upwards.
We NEED another CB, we don't need more attacking mid/wingers.
Johnson would be a fantastic signing but we have other needs right now. Plus he'll probably cost us 80k+ in wages.
we have 3 big centre backs plus a perch! another Williamsom type player is needed.. Who would douglas even replace? im a fan of both Saylor and Colo and wouldnt want to see either of them replaced...
Winger wise we only have HBA, Obertan, Gutierrez & Marveaux plus if we had Adam Johnson we would have at least one game changing midfielder per game. Like you said though the wages are a tad ridiculous for someone who was playing for Middlesborough not so long ago...
Adam Johnson isn't an option under our transfer policy so I don't know why people are talking about him. 10-12mil could be 2-3 decent squad players. His wages are probably among our highest earners. No thanks.
Cb and 3rd striker are priorities, yeah we have Willo and Perch, but Willo could get a lot of games anyway with Saylors injury proneness, and Perch could be needed to cover elsewhere during the season.
